I bought them for DH for grilling veggies and others non big slabs of meats. I was hoping I can put a whole trout from Costco in there for easy grilling and it's slightly too small.

This stainless steel basket can be used to grill larger or smaller portions food. Can easily be turned over with one motion, allows inspection of food from top or bottom, Long wooden handle protects your hand. Basket fully fits inside my small grill with the hood down and the basket handle fully protruding, You can monitor the grill's internal temperature with the hood down, if your grill provides this feature. Wooden handle can be easily detached so the basket can be washed in a dish washer.

The thickness between the 2 grills is about 1.75 inch, You need at least a 2" thick cut of meat so that it won't move around when you flip to cook the other side. The common thickness of steak from groceries are about 1 inch, so it will move when you turn it over. The deviders are hard to lock into place because it doesn't have any lock, so when you flip the grill it gets loose and the stuff you're cooking will move and mix. This is such a bad deisgn. Will not recommend. I can't return it because it has a lot of burnt meat and it's hard to clean. I will just have to modify it and keep it.

90% of the other reviews are spot on. We haven't cooked using ours yet...just getting the dividers into place is going to be tricky and as has already been mentioned, you do need a pair of pliers to help things along. if it was better made in the first place it would make life so much easier. However, I shall persevere and can't wait to see how it cooks on the barbecue. Before placing anything into it, I'll spray first with a cooking oil to try and prevent the food sticking to it as it cooks. Glass is still half full, (for now)!!!

W really want to eat more fish and we like it grilled, so tasty and healthy! This is perfect! I had a little trouble putting the dividers in, but my daughter was able to do it and it is easy to use, and the handle comes off so that you can stick it in the dishwasher! I use a paper towel to coat it with olive oil before grilling and I do brush the fish with seasonings and olive oil. It is great to have fresh grilled fish without smelling up the whole house and super easy clean up.
