- #84 in Automatic Irrigation Sprinkler Heads
The spinning sprinkler has a 40-foot diameter full-circle watering pattern that is ideal for garden and nursery applications. It provides up to 5,027 feet of coverage and is constructed from durable, impact-resistant thermoplastic. The inlet threads are 1/2-inch female pipe thread (FPT). The most common method of installation is on top of a 1/2-inch male pipe thread (MPT) rigid PVC riser. For nursery applications you can suspend it upside down from an overhead drop hose. Recommended operating pressure is 40 PSI. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

Just received the sprinkler head today.I compaired it with the original one we have used for atleast 8 years. other than the color, they look pretty much the same. Only difference is the base of the rotor part was slightly different. Will be using it later. I will refile a review after using it for a couple months.Tom L.Portland Or

Great sprinkler, solid metal no plastic. Adjustable spray, two heads so that not only the further extremity is watered.

worked at the start. came back the next day and it wasn't spinning. I think the shaft needs some lubricant. but spray pattern is nice. droplets are like rain drops. I think some silicone spray will get it working.

This is a well made sprinkler head, very nice quality, and it works great. I don't have enough volume or pressure to run both nozzles, so I blocked off the lower one with a 1/8" pipe thread plug.

This is a great sprinkler for watering borders once you plug the close watering jet. It goes farther and works with more adjustment than similar products. I only have one gripe and that is the horizontal coverage adjusters which can be finger killers as they tend to get stuck and require much pressure to move again. Otherwise great sprinkler.....

These are great, but if you put them on top of a tall pipe, like 4 feet, they will make it wobble quite a bit, in my case it eventually stuck and wouldn't rotate. I put it on a heavier and sturdier base and it worked fine. The little black and red ones from Ace Hardware are very smooth and work on almost any base, but the spray pattern is a lot flatter. These work on shorter bases with no problems.

I have been in the nursery business over 36 years. The sprinklers were originally called Wiz Heads and were made by an Ohio company called O F Nelson. We used dozens of them in our nursery for overhead watering of our woody crape myrtle perennials and they were cheap and worked excellent for many years. We actually still have many of these Nelson Wiz Heads working that are over 30 years old and they probably cost us only $2-$3 back then.In the last few years we needed some additional ones and we purchased them from both Amazon and Home Depot. They are made in China and distributed by a company called Orbit.None of them work. They look exactly like our 30 year old Wiz Heads but all of these from Orbit "LOCK UP" and won't spin when you supply the water to them.We have examined these closely and believe we finally have figured out why these Orbit ones don't work. The way it works is the water comes through a hole in the bottom of the sprinkler and hits the Black Plastic Spinner and the Spinner is designed to spin around and distribute the water like a spinning water sprinkler on a lawn. The original ones from O F Nelson had a very tiny washer at the top of the metal rod and the Black Plastic Spinner would go up and hit against the washer and the spinner would spin around very fast and sprinkle the water. These ones from Orbit made in China do not have this tiny washer and when the Black Plastic Spinners goes up and starts to spin there is no washer and they lock up and DO NOT SPIN!So Buyer beware these don't work.

I've tried several sprinklers through the years but this one is BY FAR the best I've ever tried. Home Depot, Lowes Stores and local hardware stores where some the places I've purchased sprinklers in the past. All were FAIR but didn't perform like this one. There was one issue whereas you had to use an adapter for it to accommodate the standard hose fitting, which wasn't a problem. The quality of this sprinkler is SUPERB. Also, it has TWO spouts to allow for close and distance watering. I have NEVER seen a sprinkler capable of doing that.....DID YOU?
