SizeIt's a tiny box, 3.5x2x2 inches, Inside a very well-sealed weatherproof box. Magnets are oversized and very powerful. Most of the weight is from magnets. Itself, the unit weighs mere grams.AppWhen vehicle parked for extended periods, I instruct it to update location every 30 mins. This makes the battery last about 3 months. Even though setting is 30 min, it won't really update unless vehicle moves. "Last seen 55 min ago." But, it does auto-update location if vehicle starts moving, and it will actually continue to update every 25-30 min on that setting.GPS accuracyDepends on where you install it. Clear view of sky or not? Big City with lots of tall buildings or countryside? Overall, accuracy is as good as your mobile phone would be.Under vehicle, precision is about 100-200 feet.In the truck bed, covered by plastic liner, 3 foot super-accuracy.In the glovebox, under dash, about 40-50 feet.Under plastic bumpers, about 20-30 feet.Inside door pockets, or anywhere inside vehicle, about 10 feet. But then thieves can see it too.BatteryWhen the kids take the vehicle, I set it on 5 min updates, but battery lasts I like that it charges to full battery in ~90 min, through a regular USB-C port.RuggedIt has so far survived two 130F summers and zero degree winters, car washes, mud, ice, rains, dust. It doesn't fall off when you go off-road. Magnets are really oversize and really really strong.Overall great product, It does what it should. Have had it for about a year now, without issues.I thought about using a cheap mobile phone, but then you'd constantly have to connect it to a charging cable. Doubt you'd get 3 months battery from a cell phone. Phone is not as rugged as this device to survive heat, freeze, humidity, etc.

Compared to “professional” $2000 models, this does the same thing. This has been installed for 10 days on my son’s vehicle (inside the trunk) and still has 90% battery life.In my line of work I’m not supposed to recommend services, however if you own anything you want to be able to recover quickly, I would highly recommend this.$20 a month for the service.-you can change the settings from 10 minutes to 3 seconds-you can set up a geofence-you can set up speed alerts-you can set motion alerts-you can view travel patternsAll this is done with the app which is super user friendly, and you receive text messages for the alerts..I would NOT recommend the hard wired models as they will cut these out before they steal it.

No complaints except the fact that be careful when you’re entering your email and information. If you enter it wrong, you will not get the email to activate your device. I did this and of course it was after customer service hours therefore I couldn’t put it on the vehicle, which really stunk, another FYI is when you plug it in to make sure it’s fully charged. It turns it on, you don’t need to do anything else. I turned it on after I had the charge so I had all reality. Turn it off. Went to look for it, of course couldn’t find it because I screwed it up… follow directions and be careful setting it up and it’s great. Customer Service also gets five stars!!!

Bought this to track a vehicle. 90% of the time, it is accurate. While parked, it sometimes shows the GPS has moved around within a 100 square yard area, for no reason, sending a notification, and that can be bothersome. Not sure why. However, I still recommend this unit. Monthly fee is okay, just wish it was less than $20/mo. Battery life has been very good. Got 7 weeks out of 1st use.

Durability: comes with very very powerful magnetic case that keeps it safe.Battery Life: much better than previous versionEase of use: download the app, paid for your monthly subscription, and I have a GPS tracker on my phone.Accuracy: this is very accurate, being able to be checked up to 5 - 10 seconds of perfectionPrice: none of these are as cheap as they should be with servcie.... He takes $20 a month for GPS only. You can get any smartphone, with a prepaid provider for $25 a month and get internet voice, data, and text. The fact that they are just using a SIM card for GPS makes $20 per month steepVersus the competition: I have always used to Tracki and I think this is a similar price with the subscription and advice, with very similar accuracy, destiny different platform and interface. It also has better battery lifeThe prior version of Optimus is the best price for what you get, but the battery life is less and tracki he has more options. I simply looking for accuracy and price, not battery life, you don't this new version. However, has a one-time purchase I don't see why you wouldn't catch the one with the best battery life since tracking often poses a challenge when it comes to keeping it charged
