First of all, it’s important to note that I am using this antenna switch for shortwave listening, not for transmitting. Furthermore, I’m not using this switch for its intended purpose as an antenna switch, but as a switch between three shortwave radios and one antenna. I’m basically using it in reverse, a common thing experienced shortwave hobbyists do to enhance performance.I am using this switch with 100 foot longwire antenna that’s feeding three shortwave radios/SDRs. The switch allows me to use my single longwire antenna on any one of my three main radios without having to disconnect and reconnect the coaxial cable when I want to check out the reception on any individual radio.The switch has been working flawlessly for the past 6 months without any issues. The switch itself is very durable and has the feeling of real quality when turning the selector. Positions are clearly marked and the connections are of top quality.I’m also making use of self-adhesive Velcro strips I purchased on Amazon to attach the switch to my desk.I can highly recommend this antenna switch for shortwave listeners looking for a workable solution to share a single antenna between different radios.

Good purchase. I have 3 switches, the other two are different brands, one is cheaper and lower quality. This one is on par construction wise as the MFJ. Overall I am pleased with its performance and would buy again. Is in line in my base setup running 3 CBs into an Antron 99. Good buy.

I'm currently only using two of the ports, 1 to a longwire that covers just about every band I use 80~50 meters, and 1 to a dummy load for testing. So far I'm extremely happy with this switch.

OPEK CX-5 Coaxial Antenna Switch works great ..... initially purchased to allow me to have Antennas & Dummy Load connected at the same time without having the troubles of unscrewing the PL259's all the time!

Great antenna. It is a little lossy (20% in my case) but that is to be expected with any antenna switch in this cost ballpark. Recommended.

I bought this for Field Day ops, put it into service to switch between two ECFD antennas (E-W and N-S), and found the A position was not making contact. Grabbed an old blue A-B switch I had in another box (luckily I had an extra one with me) and continued on.I now have to rip this one apart and see if I can fix or modify the contact points so it works again, but pretty annoyed that a brand new switch didn't work right out of the package. It shouldn't be my job to Q.C. your products and repair where necessary, this should have been caught at the factory.
