I have played over 20 years and have numerous paddles… high end ones and some very beginner ones when I was starting to play (which I now let the grandkids use). And I was pleasantly surprised how well this paddle works for me. Everybody has to find the paddle that fits their play… and this one has a lot of bounce and recoil to it.. so I play a little differently with it and thoroughly enjoy using it. Nice paddle..good price.

Delivery was in 3 days- amazing.Bought 2 to have a matching set with my spouse. We both enjoy the larger sweet spot which gives a very satisfying sound. Control for spins is better than our previous paddles and helps our game. Good paddle that our friends liked when they tried it too.

We are above beginner-level pickleball players and paddles are good. I did research and found these were recommended as some of the best paddles for under $100.

Replacing my older Z5 as I liked it so much and I am not willing to pay $150 for a fancier one. This one works fine for 95% of players. This is actually the V2 version with updated graphics so that is a plus if looks matter to you.

This paddle has a handle that is especially suited for players accustomed to playing lawn tennis, and this was one of the reasons why I chose it. The noise of playing with a graphite paddle doesn't bother me and I like the crispness of shot making. Adding topspin is no problem and flat hard shots are easy winners. Thoroughly recommend, in fact a friend has already ordered one after trying mine!

Pro: Light, easy grip, forgiving, easy to use, good quality, gives that satisfying “pop” with a large sweet spotCon: Lacks power, texture does not lend itself to spin easily

The rating is more like 4.5/ 5. I have been using this paddle for about 3 months now (4-5 times a week) and it has held up pretty well. It is well constructed. This paddle suits my game as it has the right balance of power, spin and control. It has a large sweet spot and the shots have been consistent. While, I would have liked more control in the doubles game, the slight extra power in lieu of control helps while playing singles. I hope this paddle lasts long enough. Overall, this is a great all-round paddle for newbies, intermediate players and possibly even the more advanced players.

As a more than beginner player, I felt that my game was being limited by the inexpensive beginner paddle that I learned and was playing with. I decided it was time for an upgrade to a more serious paddle to improve my game. I did a ton of research of the now seemingly thousands of paddles available these days. Through all of my research , the Onix Z5 paddle seemed to consistently be one of the top rated paddles on the market at that price point. So I decided to buy it and wowsa! Did it make a difference in my game! After a short learning curve getting used to the new paddle, I found out a lot of what I’d been missing; control, spin; top and back-spin, accuracy , and serving improved by leaps and bounds and after a month or so of play I’ve gone from the one nobody was psyched to play with to the one that people want to play with. The paddle is mid weight, thin, but feels light. The only issue I had was that the grip was a bit small for my hand so I bought some over-wrap tape and double overlapped the grip to build it up a bit. Man what a difference! I can see myself playing with this paddle for quite some time until I take the next step up in my game. For now the Onix Z5 is definitely the paddle of choice for me!

Ottimo racket come qualità ma il manico essendo solo 10 cm è un o corto. Ovviamente dipende sulle dimensioni della mano ma sono un donna con una mano abbastanza piccola e lo trovo comunque giusto giusto per me. Comunque ottimo qualità, control super senza perdere potenza.

Having had the chance to play several games with the Onyx pickleball paddle, here's my comprehensive feedback:Construction & Durability: One of the first things you notice about the Onyx paddle is its robust build. The craftsmanship is of high quality, and it seems designed to withstand regular play, ensuring longevity.Weight: Onyx paddles usually come in a range of weights, catering to different player preferences. Whether you prefer a lightweight for quicker maneuvers or a slightly heavier one for power shots, Onyx likely has a variant to suit your style.Grip: The grip is both comfortable and effective, providing a reliable hold. This minimizes the chances of the paddle slipping during those intense moments, a critical feature for maintaining consistency in your game.Surface: The texture of the paddle surface aids in providing additional spin on the ball, making it easier to catch opponents off-guard. The surface also offers a good balance between power and control, making it versatile for both aggressive and strategic players.Sound: The paddle has a solid, yet not overpowering sound upon ball contact, which is satisfying and gives a good feedback on the quality of your strike.Aesthetics: Onyx paddles are not only functional but also have a sleek design, ensuring you play in style.
