This is a great sleeping pad at a great price. I'm a side sleeper, and this still kept me off the ground with no pressure points. I've used it at around 30 degrees F, and the insulation kept the cold from the ground at bay.Would definitely recommend for a good budget sleeping pad for backpacking.

The sleeping pad is thick enough when fully inflated that I don't touch the ground. I am 6 ft tall and around 200lbs. It is long and wide enough for me. I can immediately feel my body heat be reflected back at me.I am going winter camping in the beginning of March and will update this review.

I purchased this on a whim, since I already have a good summer sleep mat, and a fantastic winter one (s2s).However I kind of wanted a mat to bridge the gap for Autumn and Spring use, balancing warmth, comfort and affordability. This mat does tick all those boxes. It is indeed warm, very comfortable, and cheap for a matter of with a 5.2 R-rating.Whether or no it is a true 5.2R I do not know, I could see nothing about it being ASTM certified, so time will tell, but if it is as good as I believe it to be from lots of use so far, then I may be ditching my £300 S2S matt this winter for this!

Ok...so, I was using the insulated klymit static v luxe, but this OneTigris Obsidian pad is leagues above that garbage. This pad, even though narrower than the klymit pad (30" vs ~25") is MUCH more comfortable with its quilted-style baffles vs the v-shaped ones, and with its 5.2 R-Value it is WAY warmer than the klymit, especially when paired with a CCF pad underneath. With 3 sheets of TPU membranes and 3 layers of reflective aluminum-coated membranes, I could actually feel my body heat being reflected back to me, helping to keep me nice and toasty even though the outside temps dropped down into the 30s. It is a little heavier than more expensive pads that offer the same warmth, but at just a hair over 2 pounds, it's not exactly "heavy". The pad comes with a stuff sack, a couple of repair patches, and even an inflation sack, which I actually don't really like.Yes, the pump sack will inflate it with about 5 breaths, but it's quite large and I found it to be more cumbersome than just inflating it with my mouth, but I may give it another go on my next outing. It may sound a little crinkly when you've got it inflated and you squeeze it, but I didn't notice any crinkling while I was sleeping on it, and I'm a side sleeper who tosses and turns a LOT during the night. Not once did it disturb me. I can't speak to its durability yet, but I will be updating this review as I get more nights with it under my belt. My ONLY real gripe about this pad? The air valve. No problems inflating it, and the deflate valve dumps the air instantly when opened, BUT, there is no way to let just a little air out to adjust the firmness to your liking. It's a small gripe, as I found my inflation sweet spot pretty quickly, but I feel that's a legitimate concern others may have. With all the value this pad brings, I still wouldn't let that one thing steer me away. All in all, I LOVE this pad and I will be purchasing another (for a backup), and I'll most certainly be checking out what other backpacking products OneTigris offers.

tried this on a few camping trips and the foil inner ling helps alot and its nice and compact , will say im 50/50 on the comfort rating as over inflated its too hard and underinflated my hips touch the floor as im a side and front sleeper so has to be pumped to specific amount to be some what comfy , saying that ive yet to find a decent mat that accommodates this . will say its great money for value

I have now slept outdoors on this mat a few times. It's relatively easy to pump up, I do find it wants a little top up after you've layed on it for the first time after inflating it. I find it extremely comfortable and you can definitely feel your body heat being reflected back at you. The downside of having a reflective foil layer is it can be a little noisy but you soon get used to it and for me it's not a big deal. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

This pad is a great value. The first thing is the 5.2 R value. I was pretty skeptical even after watching some reviews on it. From my experience it is pretty accurate. It is a warm pad. Used it on a 15 degree night and was warm. No cold spots. I did have a foam pad under it. The second big thing is comfort. Have slept on it 7-8 times and it was impressive every time. It's almost 25 inches wide and that's what I prefer. The noise isn't bad at all. Especially compared to a Thermarest. I slept on it side by side with an REI Helix and they are pretty similar. I believe the One Tigris is better in comfort and warmth. The downside is it's a little on the heavy side. It's 2 lbs but there are definitely others out there that are heavier and not as warm or comfortable. Part of the weight is the insane pump sack that comes with. It weighs 4.81 ounces on my scale. It's huge. Why? I use a mini pump and leave the bag at home. That takes about 5 ounces off the weight. Im fine with that. There are pads that cost a hundred bucks more and aren't as good as this. I recommend this pad.

Very nice low profile and light weight definitely recommend for backpacking in colder weather. it’s as comfortable as it can be for a cold weather sleeping mat. only issue I have is leaking of air. Woke up twice during the night I used it to re inflate the mat. Quality control needs some work but repair kits are fairly inexpensive and it always good to have them anyway.

I bought this for a rainy, cold campout, and I use it for every campout now! Maybe the air bag method is a little cumbersome to inflate, but I like that it's manual and saliva/breath free. Now I'm too warm sometimes, but I can adjust that more easily. I'm a scout leader, and I'm taking this on every campout now!

First impressions were great. Spent a few chilly nights on it comfortably. Then on the last three occasions it seemed to decrease in thickness (let air out). Not completely flat but enough to let some cold creep in. Before that it was awesome. No visible leaks or damage. Un sure of why it started to do it. Sometimes they condense when the air gets cold but this was excessive. Reached out and was asked for order number. Provided order number and got crickets. Review is mostly for the customer service. Edit: It deflates every time, after Onetigris initially responded and asked for my order number I never received another response. Now I have a 60 dollar ground sheet.

Super happy with this mat. Very warm on multiple surfaces, all night warmth. I like this diamond shaped pattern, it is so much more comfortable than standard tube shapes. I use this for backpacking and car camping. I've slept on countless mats over the years, this has been by far the best bang for the buck I've ever encountered.

I’ve been using a Thermarest for a good 16 years or more when camping/climbing and of course it now looks a bit tatty, so when offered this model from OneTigris i was interested in trying it out. This particular model differs from my old mat, in that it isn’t “self-inflating” but unlike old style air beds that you would inflate using a foot pump or by mouth, this one uses a bag (it is very similar in design to the Exped mats and their “Schnozzle” bag). When stored away in its bag, the mat measures just 27cm in length with a diameter of 10cm and a mass of just under 1KG.The mat itself feels really thin when deflated and has a multi-layered construction (8 in total) and consisting of several layers of TPU coated and reflective aluminium coated film, sandwiched between a 20D Nylon outerOn one end of the mat is a combination air inlet/outlet. The inlet is accessed by pulling open the top section to reveal a 1-way valve for inflation and the second part can be pulled open to deflate. To inflate the sleeping pad, you essentially get a handy dry bag that is fitted with an outlet that pushes onto the 1-way valve. You can then open the top of the bag to fill it with air, before rolling the top down and then pushing the air into the pad. I found that i needed to repeat the filling process around 12 times to fully inflate the pad to around 8cm.When fully inflated, the pad measured approximately 188cm in length x 67cm wide. The manufacturer claims the product has an R rating of 5.2, making it suitable for use all year round (The higher the rating the better the product is at preventing cold from rising up through it). Also included are 2 x repair patches and a little stuff sack to keep everything together.***** In The Box *****1 x Obsidian Sleeping Mat1 x Inflation Bag2 x Repair Patches1 x Storage Bag2 x Elastic Straps***** Conclusion *****My first impressions of this product from OneTigris is actually pretty good. When first opening the pad, the material felt extremely thin and i was a bit apprehensive that it would hold my weight without bursting the seams, but it does feel well made and surprisingly strong when inflated.I am roughly 6’2” and found it a decent size – i can lay down and my feet just about fit, without hanging over the end. I have only tried the product on my hard wooden floor as these days i’m not a winter camper, but it did feel pretty comfortable and a fair bit thicker than my Thermarest.Although this isn’t self-inflating, it is very easy to blow up and the bag works very well. Using the bag and not your breath means you are not putting moist air into it. It also deflates in seconds and packs away very easily.I did find the inlet/outlet quite difficult to open and they did take quite a lot of pulling, so i’m not sure how long they will last with the amount of stress put on them. I also found the material quite noisy when laying down – it sounds a little like rustling bin bags, which could be a little annoying. The £79.98 asking price seems pretty reasonable, especially when comparing similar spec products from more well known brands. So far i have no real complaints and look forward to testing it out when the weather warms up just a little.
