I am professional pet sitter & this came in so handy when sitting cats. I ordered one & a second ago few months later. The only down fall is that bowls will easily tip over & depending on how you set it up, some parts of the enclosure will be hard to clean.

A very nice sized cage at a great price. I easily assembled it in about 30 minutes with the help of four cats. The welded wire panels are well built. I'm not sure about how the solid panels will hold up but my demon cat has already settled down so they will probably hold. Instructions were nice and clear with excellent drawings. I love the built in cat box and it's full sized. I took the cute, swinging door to the catbox off. It wasn't popular but was very simple to pop out.

Outside of the below items, this was a good and safe choice for kittens.1. Assembly: instructions not the best. Take a few moments to organize thoughts and concept of the which way the black connector should be facing for each level and test out on a couple first to get used to it. Thereafter, execution easy, but does take a lot of time.2. Plastic panels (shelves) are very slippery, not overly favorable for kittens learning to jump (slide off). Make sure beds have non-slip bottom. Will try cutting self-adhesive carpet to put on the 12 x 12 plastic panels.3. Door latches: a pain and not conducive to opening and closing easy. Will use mini Carabiner clips.

For the most part, it does the job and goes together without a lot of effort. However, the wires are not welded together very well and a few have popped off the cage panels just from assembly. Size is good for one adult cat.

This is a good solution for kittens if you need a safe space to temporarily contain them. It took two people about 90 minutes to put together. We chose the external litter box construction (it can be built 2 ways). Instructions were not clear about exactly which way the connectors go—so add in some time spent on planning that part out yourself. The doors were manufactured incorrectly (the grid is going the opposite direction) which makes locking the doors more difficult (but not impossible) & is the reason we gave this 4 stars instead of 5. Please make sure to put the soldered side of the grid pieces facing out because some parts can be sharp. Also, please be certain to use the included hammer to assure that the grid pieces snap ALL THE WAY into the connectors & take the time to use ALL the included zip-ties. If you do those things, you’ll have a sturdy & safe pet crate! We even moved it around after we built it & stayed together perfectly. We added some scratchers to help them get from level to level, a hammock & some beds. Our four, 8 week old kittens put it to the test & it passed! They slept in it right away the first night & now they go in on their own when they want to play & nap. :). Oh & we used a carabiner to hold open the cute cat- shaped door to the litter box, since our kittens weren’t used to a door on their litter box.

Went away for a few days. The feral kitties who are staying in this set up connected to another fell through two levels. While I was gone. No one was hurt.I don’t recommend assembling two systems as one. These kitties I’m rehabbing were having so much fun. The smaller six pound cats did well. But the larger 11 pound kitty accidentally collapsed the shelf. Twice. The plastic piece that holds the shelf in broke on one side on both brackets.I managed to rig a shelf to help them jump to their beds, but I need to rethink the design for two systems to exist without it falling apart again.Extra parts were supplied. But I’m bummed as I thought having two together would be fun.The main thing is I had several on the third level together through the middle. They would lay on this by the window. Have to jump up and down to the fourth level.I only had one panel missing on the third level they could move through then jump to the forth on either side. Thinking this would be reinforced enough.Didn’t could on the plastic … are they fasteners breaking. Snapping and the shelves falling.Poor things were upset and confused.Lasted about a month this way. Can’t recommend as a double. The single worked great. But now I’m questing the entire set up as a four tier system.Bummed, as this was a great way to help rehab stray and feral kitties. This set up had a tried cat colony. A mom and daughter with a boy that isn’t related.Working to help them be ready to live on a farm. The single with Blacky Pathner is going great. He is gentle in his use.If your cat is a ten or more pounder who’s rugged the shelf might break is our experience.
