My cat is not afraid of this.It's not very loud and it works grate for between his toes, as well as his hair mats. He's a maincoon cat so.

Excellent little trimmer for my two cats with medium-length fur. Obviously the cats don't love it, but with a little Churu distraction, they put up with it. The small blade is very handy for getting the long hair out from under their paws to minimize litter tracking, and the wider blade is great for their rear sanitary shave. No cuts or boo-boos here!Battery life is plenty to shave all paws and sanitary areas of both of my cats in one go. Volume feels like the same as any trimmer, a gentle buzz. Definitely not silent, the cats know what is up, but it's not loud. About the same volume as the trimmers I used for human haircutting.Compact size makes the kit easy to store, maintenance is minimal. Would definitely buy it again, and would recommend!Full disclosure, I have very touch-desensitized cats who are generally fine with their paws being touched already, so I am lucky in that regard.

So this things kind of works. I got this to trim the fur that grows between the paw pads on my basenji, which has relatively short hair. I think because the part of the blade that oscillates is plastic, the cutting is kind of ineffective. If the blade was completely metal I think this set would be perfect for basic home grooming.

My cat has very hairy paws so I have always used scissors on her paws. But when I saw this I thought I would give it a try.Before I used them I let her see the clippers and hear the noise. Not loud at all. She is used to me touching and trimming her feet with scissors.You need to go slow and take your time. If you try to go to fast, they don't trim very well. But if you go slow they work just fine. I was able to get deep between her pads. A domestic long haired bunny was surrendered to my refuge recently. He is high maintenance with his long fur. He arrived matted and bewildered. I suspect he's deaf. Named him Barnum, seemed frozen with terror when I put him on his back on a pillow and brushed and cut off the worst of it with scissors, as if he has been rough handled in the past, shaking a leg. I thought a nice quiet kitty shaver would be less stressful for the boy, so ordered this trimmer with all the fix'ns and so glad I did! He is a sweet bunny and trusts me as I coo him with kind words. I was surprised it was so quiet and gentle on his skin. I don't believe in making an animal stressed for long doing basic health care, but I didn't have to spend much time to accomplish a big hand full of matted fur. He took it well, even dosed off a time or two. I will do a little every day until I shape him into a poodle, kidding, then periodic trims. The cost was very reasonable and shipping quick. It is light weight on my injured hands to hold and a breeze to clean and charge. Very happy with this product. Barnum says, Thank You. 🐇

Works well, rechargeable, easy to use but I wish it came with one more longer hair option. My cat doesn’t love it but with a squeeze up treat he does okay.
