Arrived quickly and in good condition. This particular rotating cutting matt does not have a rotating Lazy Susan style spinner, but instead has a foam Matt on the back that’s actually stabilizing aiding in reliably accurate cutting. I don’t know which style is better, I’m hoping this style is best.

Ok, this is perfect to square up quilt blocks. I have a large rotating cutting mat, but this is perfect for small blocks. Turns easily. Recommend.

This rotary cutting mat is just what I needed. I have been looking at these for several years but was not ever willing to pay the asking price. When I saw this product drastically reduced on Amazon, I decided it was finally within a price range I was willing to pay. Several years ago I purchased the rotary cutting mat by Martelli, and I have enjoyed using it. However, the cutting mat on that product is not the quality of Omnigrid and I found my rotary blades were becoming dull much sooner than I liked. I purchased this Omnigrid rotary cutting mat and simply place it on the Martelli rotary table instead of the Martelli mat. It works great! The Martelli rotating surface actually rotates much more easily than does the Omnigrid. I could easily be happy with the Omnigrid as it comes, though. It is a nice product, easy to use and very helpful! I'm very happy to finally own one.

I got this mat specifically for making the stellar magic quilt pattern. It was highly recommended and I definitely agree that by using a mat that turns, it makes your life so much easier! I didn't have to lift the fabric square off the mat until I made all the cuts I needed to - I simply rotated the mat to make the cuts. I'm glad I purchased this mat because it will be useful for many of my quilting projects.

This is a great size for small - medium projects. You can spin it around to reach all sides of your cutting project with just a finger. Fabric cutting is my least favorite part of sewing, but this make the task quicker and much easier.

Product doesn’t work. It’s a rotating cutting mat that doesn’t rotate!!! Have returned the second faulty mat and bought another elsewhere. Amazon replaced the original quick and efficiently but I’m very disappointed.

Really appreciate the rotating capability but it does not seem to hold up under heavy use. I’m noticing a lack of self heal which I did not expect.

Yes. That's why I got mine and the only thing it gets used for. I make 12" x 3" cheesecakes and need to cut them into 12 equal slices. Each cake weighs a ton. Each slice is a meal in itself.When the cheesecake is done, chilled and ready for cutting, I transfer it to a 12" round (cardboard with food grade coating) then I set all of that in the center of the Omnigrid Rotating Mat. From directly overhead I take my 14" cake knife and carefully slice down through the topping (loaded with cooked fruit) using the 30° marks on the mat as guides. Making 6 cuts across the cake from one 30° mark to the one 180° away on the opposite side of the cake I both precisely define the 12 slices and cut though the fruit that is in those lines.After that, using a long piece of unwaxed non-flavored dental floss I run the floss down through the cake from the top, where the slices had been started in the topping, down through the crust to the carboard round at the bottom at the corresponding 30° marks. The result is a magnificent 12" cheesecake with 12 precisely equal slices.The rotating mat allows me to make one cut, then turn it and make the next cut until after 6 cuts across the whole cake I have my 12 equal slices. The Omnigrid Rotating Mat makes this somewhat difficult and challenging task fairly easy.The 30° guides are crucial to making the slices perfect and the fact that you can rotate the mat into positions where it will stay motionless make the task much easier than if you just had the 30° marks. The marks alone make perfect slices a possibility. The rotation makes it easier and, therefore, make perfect slices a likelihood.I can make my huge cheesecakes without the Omnigrid Rotating Mat, but when it comes time to cut them I could not expect perfect slices. Using this very helpful tool now I can.
