Why OKOLO's founders stopped using Disposable Diapers
I never used disposable diapers with my son Mati for 3 reasons:
1. To save money: With my son, I used reusable diapers from newborn until he was 3 and a half years old when he stopped using diapers, and I used the same diapers all that time. I saved more than USD 1,000.00
2. Caring for the environment: We were aware of climate change and pollution. We saved the planet 7,000 disposable diapers that one baby uses in 3 years. Each diaper biodegrades up to 500 years.
3. Protect the skin: We wanted to avoid allergies, diaper rash and the discomfort of a disposable diaper for 24 hours.
We noticed that more and more families identified with the same 3 reasons and we decided to create OKOLO in 2016, so that more families like ours could take care of their pocket, the environment and their baby.
