Shaves the ice really well. Not too loud. Easy to clean. Super convenient and super fast. Makes some good snowballs. Not too heavy which makes it super convenient.

I love this thing! Very easy to use -I’ve had it over a month and use it daily for slushies and snow cones - they’re ready in 10 seconds - very durable and powerful- beats the cheap kiddie ones- this one is fabulous

This product works spectacularly. The only issues that I have had is the bowl that catches the shaved ice tend to easily slide off. However because you must rotate the bowl while shaving to avoid overflowing it is somewhat controlled. I eventually put three pencil eraser sized rubber cement dots on the base to avoid the disaster of dropping the bowl with shavings. Additionally, the joint of the ice compressing lever tends to aquire either grease or oil with the crevasse. This will get into your ice shavings and turn them black. I have tried repeatedly to remove the grease but of course with more moisture added with daily use I routinely wipe it down with 91% rubbing alcohol before and after each use. This removes much of the grease but it still will taint the shavings from time to time. Overall, this is a wonderful product. I was skeptical of it's quality when ordering, but I was happily proven wrong.

I'll start by saying I used to work at a rental company who had an industrial shaved ice machine and this product does just as good best part is you can purchase this as the same price as renting one only you get to keep it. So highly recommend. Nothing better than having an endless amount of shaved ice whenever your craving some.

This little gem saved my grand daughters party. Big party planned. Husband bought a shaved ice/ snow cone machine. (2 days before party). Opened it and discovered that you have to make frozen molds to put in machine for it to shave and turn into shaved ice. WHAT? So I got online found this most awesome little machine. Just put regular ice cubes in it and turn it on and WHALA---GREAT shaved ice. Really fast. Makes a bit of a mess. Put a thick towel under it before using it. It saved the party. SOO glad I found it!

If you are looking for shaved ice like you get from those little mobile booths then look no further! This Ice shaver does a very good job and very quiet operation. I have already made multiple snow cones with this machine and very happy. It appears to be built decent for the money and the motor has plenty of torque, (I was a bit worriedabout that honestly). I do like the fact that it is using a slower RPM inductance motor rather than a motor with brushes which tends to overheat quickly when loaded and much louder due to higher RPM.The speed at which you shave the ice is very nice, I can fill ice in the bowl up it came with and it will literally have you a bowl of shaved ice in a matter of 20 to 50 seconds. The three blades do a very good job at shaving the ice.I have been using Ice cubes but I'm going to experiment freezing a water bottle and seeing how a chunk of ice works. With regular cubes, you do get a few lumps of ice.I do recommend you make sure to use this in a area where water will not be a concern, it's a bit messy as the unused ice flakes melt away. The only complaint I really have is that I wish the unit was easily cleaned, it doesn't appear that the blade assembly is removable without taking unit apart. This could be a problem if you are looking into making fruit shaved ice. Other than that, it's a great little ice shaver.

I'm writing this review in the hopes that I can spare someone, anyone, from the humiliation, pain, and disappointment that comes with purchasing this product. If you're like me, you're eagerly anticipating being able to make fluffy, soft, shaved ice whenever your heart desires. Well if that's the case, this is not the machine for you.The first red flag appeared as soon as I pulled the wretched device out of the packaging. The handle was covered in some sort of sticky residue. I had to use goo gone to get it off. The machine itself had an overall grimy appearance and I spent a decent amount of time getting it cleaned up and ready to use. Had this been my only issue, I probably wouldn't have minded, but this would turn out to be the least of my problems.I ran some ice through it to flush out the system and get it ready for show time. The instructions said to make sure to do this to make sure all the metal shavings get cleaned out. Definitely another red flag. The ice itself came out pretty chunky, definitely not powdery like say, Bahama Bucks. I wasn't too worried though, I had prepped some ice disks using 16 oz containers which were recommended in another review to get better quality powder. Finally, the moment arrived. I had a house full of excited people, ready to feast on delicious snowy goodness. I popped in a frozen disc and started the shaver. I got about a spoonful of shaved ice before the machine jammed up and stopped spitting out more. I could still hear the blades spinning, but no ice came out. I opened it up, repositioned the ice and tried again. Still nothing. My heart sank as the smiles on my guests faces faded. I spent the better part of a half hour trying to get it to work as intended. I tried different types of ice, letting it melt a little bit, different amounts of pressure. All the while, the machine would spin and make a horrible crunching sound. Turns out that was just the machine laughing at me. Mocking me. By the end of it all, I was able to squeeze out about one snowcones worth of the crunchiest, chunkiest, most pathetic ice I've eaten. It also managed to get water all over my countertop and floor. I made a complete fool of myself in front of my family and friends.Please. I beg you. Don't be like me. Don't buy this machine. I'm returning mine immediately. Honestly, you'd be better off putting ice into your garbage disposal and fishing it out with a ladle.
