This tape was a game changer post surgery! I had to change my dressing a few times a day at first, I was worried it would be rough on my skin; it was not. It is lightweight but strong, and didn't rip my skin when I removed it. I used another thinner paper tape before this one (different brand) and it was too sticky and ripped the skin. I liked the wide width as well. I used it with large gauze pads, highly recommended.

Originally my wife purchased this for wounds I had and it worked fine for me, however despite saying latex free and hypoallergenic my wife who does have a latex and lanolin allergy has had a reaction now that she's using it for her own wound care. The skin where it was applied is bright red, very sensitive, and looks just like the kind of chemical burn she gets when she uses products that contain lanolin or are made with latex. Otherwise it has good hold and makes for much sturdier wound coverage when used with gauze on those areas where regular bandages won't hold up.I would definitely recommend this if you don't have any allergies, but if you do have topical allergies maybe find another product.

This is the worst tape I've ever tried to use. I use it for changing a wound dressing and the first time I used it out was so thin it ripped right down the center and everywhere else. Made it almost impossible to stay put. It was a waste of money. I have to fight with it every time I use it and now I only use it when I have to. I learned a long time ago that with this kind of tape 3m is the best on the market. My son bought this but he was not aware of the brand I bought. DO not buy this tape it's worthless. Will ask for refund. Stick with 3M.

I have used this surgical tape for several years, and I have to say I am very happy with how it holds in place. I usually try and keep this tape on my bandage for three days ( sometimes longer), and it rarely comes off- when you do remove it, there's no pulling or discomfort. The price is terrific for the amount of tape. I recommend this highly.
