Have only used one on a prius filter so can't tell it's longevity but I would imagine it will eventually break being so cheap. For now, it gets 5 stars!

So, I did see the right filter cup at Walmart for $3 cheaper, but I'm glad I purchased this one because the extended notch out section was much better to have. This gave a very good grip around the filter housing and resisted slippage. Since the one at Walmart is stamped steel like standard cups, it's thinner than this cast aluminum cup. The additional thickness is fine. Nice design with the 3/8 square drive and wrench flats for putting a socket on the end. Great deal, great functionality.

I had a stuck filter housing and used this tool with 24" long breaker bar to get it off. The tool can do it if you use it properly. If the filter housing is at all tight, you must use a socket to connect it to your ratchet or breaker bar, do not use a 3/8 wrench in the hole, that is how many people break these types of filter wrenches as the forces when using the small hole are much greater than when using a socket around the integrated hex bolt. I used a 1-1/16 hex socket, the fit wasn't perfect but it was fairly close. They shouldn't even put a hole in these tools as it's just asking for problems.The build quality is decent, but it is a relatively heavy cast part. If you drop it on concrete and it lands on one of the teeth, it could break off.
