These have helped keep our dogs off the couch when we leave the house. They are affordable to be able to help cover the whole living room. They work well for what we needed.

Our 16 year old chihuahua fell into our pool twice! Thank goodness my husband was there. her eyesight isn't the best. This was our solution. We cut them in half and placed them around the pool. Trained her so she knew what it felt like. Sharp! I think she can see them better since they are black than the coping around our pool. Yes, that all seems cruel, but I really, really didn't want to find her at the bottom of our pool. I don't think she has walked near them because she can see them.

My only wish would be that they have a rubber grip on the underside for no slip. They certainly do the job at low cost!
