I purchased two of these scales, in different ranges. At first appearance these Ohaus spring scales looked like something out of a kid's science kit. I was wrong! While using the scales to adjust the tension motors and pinch rollers in tape decks, I got very repeatable results. Also, when hanging calibrated weight on the scales, the results were spot on. These are exactly as they are described - a reliable, accurate spring scale measuring device

IT has no mechanism to "zero" it.
