The plunger and calibration screw don't provide the greatest results in precision, but it's awfully darn close.Weighing meats and such for kitchen prep work or the like, this device is ideal.Quick eyeballing at the level, and you're good to go. Precision, like for lab work or something, maybe not so much.Thumbs up.

It registers a very slight amount of force. Good for sensitive experiments determining static and sliding coefficient of friction on inclined surfaces.

I ordered a scale with max measurement of 1N/100G and yellow coded as pictured. I received a green coded scale labeled by EISCO as 1N/100G which was incorrect. The green coded scale has a max measurement of 10N/1000g. The replacement sent was the same green scale improperly labeled. I called EISCO and tried to resolve the problem and was given an email address to customer support. After sending an email of the problem including pictures and links I received a response which tried to explain the relationship of measurement of Newtons, grams and mass. Sometimes you can't stop the train from derailing so you just have to get off.
