POWERFUL AGITATION
A compost toilet separates liquid and solid waste. Solid waste mixes with a compost medium, where microbes begin breaking it down. Agitation helps this process by mixing thoroughly. The ORIGIN provides 25-30 uses. When full, remove the solids bin and transfer contents to a compost-friendly bag. The mixture, resembling soil, continues to break down naturally, forming nutrient-rich compost in 6-12 months. Biological waste management is efficient and economical and with OGO easier than ever. SEPERATION IS KEY
Why do camping toilets have you buying all those chemicals in the first place? ODOR AND BACTERIA. When you separate the urine from the solid waste you ELIMINATE the problem. Featuring a sealed drain pan with a spring slide trap door, your waste goes exactly where it should. A smooth handle makes opening and closing the slide door effortless. Specially placed rubber seals and an expertly designed drain pan ensure liquid flows directly to the bottle and away from the solids bin. Holding 2.4 gallons, the ORIGIN's urine bottle is one of the largest on the market. Discreetly designed, it fits snugly into the front drawer and latches securely on each side. This product work well for how I use it. I don’t have it attached to the electrical, or vented outside currently. It’s an excellent size and toilet.

Replaced our Dometic water flush toilet with this and the added urine diverter kit. Heavy use with 4 people doing their business as usual posed no issue on our last week long trip. Zero odor unlike the sometimes foul smell from the black tank with the flush toilet, and much reduced need for dump station visits. This will allow you to conserve your onboard fresh water, and if you connect your tanks together like we did with an additional Valterra valve, you can increase your grey water holding capacity significantly. Cleanup is super easy - dump the bucket in a trash bag and toss it. Much easier and faster than visiting a dump station by far. My only minor complaint is that it is a little tall for some shorter people, so we have a small step stool for the kids.

So it's been over a year of use and it is fantastic, very easy to use. No smell, easy to clean. Easy to dump, no more black tank dumping. Very nice quality , the only thing I have had to do was a little grease on the metal sliders for the waste door to make it slide much easier. I use the coco coir bricks, when you dump it the tub looks clean, very little residue left inside.I can't say anything bad about this at all, other than I wish I had one 10 years ago.

Let's talk about the price. It's expensive. It really is, but so are all good compositing toilets. Here's why it's worth buying: EVERY single piece of this toilet can be bought off of their website. Meaning if a tiny piece of plastic breaks or a wire breaks, the whole toilet isn't trash. All of the optional things they offer are very useful too. This toilet keeps smell to a minimum. I love my OGO toilet and have no regrets.

The toilet looks great and feels solid. But I don't think it's made for men. My junk immediately hits the bottom of the urine diverting area. The little crossbar dam separating #1 and #2 areas is way to high and can feel it pushing up on you when you sit.

I have a large woodshop as a side biz but don't have toilet facilities in the shop. So, I decided to try this product. Very easy to assemble, simple instructions, light weight unit. Had to do some googling to figure out what medium to use and how much to use but once I did that, it was a breeze. I do not have this vented to the outside and there is still no change in smell of my shop (still smells like a woodshop and not a latrine). Cleans easily. I have no reservations about getting one of these units for my hunting camp but just venting it outside. Fan can't be heard and draws almost no power. I'll update over time but so far this has been great.

I replaced my camper toilet with this composting toilet and am extremely pleased with the choice. Almost no maintenance other than emptying the bucket and urine tank, which they have made pretty easy as well. Now, if only the bricks of coconut coir were easier to break apart. Came with a vent tube but I thought I would try without it first because I hate putting holes in the camper. Glad I waited. No vent tube was needed. It takes a very small DC power cord which was easy to patch in on another DC circuit. Only thing I would change is that I didn't remove the toilet flange in case I didn't like it and wanted to revert back. The OGO toilet has a solid bottom, so I had to build up a platform around the toilet flange. It sits just a little too high because I chose this during installation (not OGO's fault). Doing it over, I would remove the toilet flange so I don't have the added height on the toilet. This is very sturdy and much better than a standard RV toilet. I wish they would make some RV's and campers with factory installed composting toilets. Between this toilet and switching out the rooftop air conditioner to a mini split heat pump (efficient air and heat) has made my camper much better for me and more flexible.
