This office chair mat is great to help protect your hardwood flooring or tile from the wheels of your office chair. It does take a little bit of effort to get the mat to straighten but after a few days it will naturally straighten itself out. Some bending of the edges on the mat does help make the process a little faster. The material feels very strong and has a textured top end with a smooth under. I would suggest adding some grip tape at the bottom as it tends to slide from time to time. Overall we really enjoy using this product and has been a help protecting our flooring.

About three months ago, I bought a large mat to place under my office chair. The advertisement said it could go over carpet of all piles or hard floor. We had to put it on carpet. Two months later the mat was cracking, and I was unable to find the seller. I needed a solution. We put different materials under the mat, but the cracking continued. Then I found a smaller, firm but flexible mat and decided to try putting it over the cracking mat. That helped. I didn’t feel the cracks with my feet anymore, but I could sure hear them, still a problem I wanted to solve. Could this firm but flexible chair mat be the final answer? I got it and gave it a quick soak in hot water in the bathtub to flatten it. (It works!) Then I placed it under the mat with the cracks to provide a firmer surface on our somewhat thick carpet. As convoluted as it sounds, it seems to be working. I have three stacked mats now of different sizes, with the big cracked mat sandwiched between two smaller ones. This one is lying helpfully on the bottom, and I have high hopes that I can continue to sit without fear of pinched feet and loud cracking noises in the future.

Very durable floor mat; perfect for protecting hardwood floors from your chair wheels. It came rolled up in a box with instructions, and they weren’t kidding when they said it would be difficult to unroll. The plastic is very stiff when you first take it out of the box. I left it in a warm room for a while, and it made it easier to unfurl and pin down. Once I got my office chair on it, it was pretty much flat. The top has a slight texture, while the underside is flat to protect the floor. It’s quite thick too. This is exactly what I needed for my small office setup.

I replaced all my carpet with LVP flooring a few years ago and though LVP is durable, I work from home and I'm glad to have something under my office chair to provide an extra level of protection. You can hardly see this 48" X 30" floor mat and it's easy to maneuver around on with my chair. These mats tend to crack over time. I'll update my review if I see any concerns.UPDATE: After using this chair mat for a couple weeks on the LVP flooring in my office, it does shift positions as I roll my chair around on it and has to be readjusted every couple day. I suppose one could try some double stick rug tape or something to keep it in place. I'm still glad to have it but I do wish it would just stay put on it's own.

I was a little worried that this would stand out on my dark wood floors, but it's barely noticeable. It flattened out right out of the box and doesn't have a strong plastic smell like other mats do. It feels good to roll my office chair over it and keeps my chair from sliding around. I've also used it as a protector mat for when my kids do painting in a carpeted area in our house. Works well and protects my hardwood floors. Easy to roll your chair across and doesn't have those sharp, annoying bottoms like some floor protectors do. Takes a bit of effort to roll out when it is brand new because it has been rolled for a while, but once you roll it out it's easy to get flat - you may need to set some heavy books on the corners for a few hours, but once it relaxes it lays well. Does not slide around with my chair and the clear design keeps it from being an eyesore. Not sure how it does on carpet because I have not needed to use it there yet. Overall, would recommend for hardwood floors.

I needed a new chair, Matt for a long time as the one I had was way too thick and kept rolling up. Unfortunately, I have carpet in my room and have struggled to find the best chair mat. The mat was a little hard to get it to lay flat initially, but that could be because when it was delivered, it was below freezing temperatures outside. I did let it lay flat with a couple objects on it for 24 hours and it did eventually lay flat on its own. It is definitely on the thinner side and would probably work better in a room with hardwood floor and not carpet. I’ve had it about a week and you can already see a lot of indentations on it from my office chair. Mind you I am not a heavy set person (120 pounds) by any means so I’m a little surprised that it has so many indentations in it so soon. It is nice and light though and easy to move compared to my last one. Not sure if the cost justifies the quality of the mat. Overall, I’ll end up keeping it. My problem could just be that no matter what mat I find, its going to bunch up and move around because of the carpet in my room.

My floors were starting to show wear from my rolling desk chair, and this mat has been a game-changer.
