My old Steelcase Surprise desk chair (23 years old) has managed to find it way back home after 10 years. The fabric and padding are perfect. One of the armrests was a little chewed up and Steelcase no longer makes parts. Amazon to the rescue.These arm rests are perfect. The screw holes are 4” apart. These are well built and much heavier than the original. It comes with 2 different sized screws and an Allen key for installation. There is no smell that some of the other reviews mentioned. Wow! These arm rests were a perfect replacement for the ones I had on my chair. The best way to see if they will work for you is to measure the distance between the two screws on the bottom.
