This is not a delicate tool, but it isn't bullet proof, either. As it should be, since it hones tiny little cylinders.Removing the tool from the cylinder while it's still spinning on the drill can damage it. Be gentle with it, and it will last. The last of these I ordered just arrived broken. The blister packaging shows signs of crushing. It was shipped in a padded envelope, which won't offer much protection against boxes and flat mail piled onto it during shipping. I think Amazon fulfillment is responsible for this damage, not the maker of the product.edit: amazon has great service, and the return policy allows for a replacement. it arrived, today... in a padded envelope. but it wasn't crushed and broken, this time! so your luck may vary.I can find nothing on the packaging that stipulates the item it made in the USA. Sold/marketed in the USA, sure. And I have several of their other tools, and they are top notch. Also, they have a lifetime warranty. Knowing this, I don't think it matters where it's made.

This hone looked like decent quality and fit the fairly large caliper bore it was purchased for. However the part that chucks into a drill came off the spring shaft after only a couple of cycles of honing. I tried fitting it back together and even re-crimping that piece on but it won't stay; it twists off as soon as you try to use it. This tool is useless. I'll find a Lisle instead.

Doesn't get much better than this hone for the money. I used it on my Honda Eu 2000 I and the cylinder looks like brand new now... Highly recommend this hone. Worked much better than my ball hone I am used to using.

I can't seem to add video to demonstrate this garbage, but the item is pure junk. The adjustment mechanism is pathetic and if I used the hone on a cylinder it would damage the cylinder because the pressure it puts on the arms is uneven and crooked. Apparently the item is made in USA so it's not only China that is selling us garbage. "Lifetime warranty" is not worth the cost to mail the item back to the company. I will remember the OEM Tools brand to avoid for future tool purchases.

It worked like a charm on a stainless steel cylinder on an oil less air compressor. Stones are on the fine side, took quite a while to clean up some deep scratches. Should go a lot faster on a normal cast iron cylinder. Made in the U.S.A. and you can't beat the price. Have plenty of meat left on the stones even after a rather long stainless torture test!

Works fine, but the plastic piece that protects the arms where they join up is so large that it doesn't allow you to go deep into a tube that you are trying to hone out. May work OK for the engine cylinders it was intended for if you don't have to go too deep.

I liked this tool over others in this size range for the "S" arms allowed for greater bore range. For this tool, 13/16" - 2 1/4". Tool worked as required. Instructions for use were on the back of packaging. List of "cautions" also printed on back of packaging. With reference to bad review because of broken stone. Do not know all facts, but there are ways to break the tool, so go to YouTube and watch a few videos before use.
