I'm surprised that this hone is as nice as it is. I figured since the price was reasonable it wouldn't be very good. Thankfully I was wrong. It looks to be made pretty well, & has honing stones attached during shipping. There is another set in the box as well. I've always wanted a cylinder hone that would fit my drill but wasn't able to get one until recently. I can appreciate getting one that will last for a long time. It's one of those tools that doesn't get used a lot unless you work in a machine shop. But I don't, so this will last. I can recommend this hone without issue. I gave 4 stars because I know there are better brands out there. But this hone is great for the price bracket it's in.

I got this to repair a cylinder with a 4.12in bore that unfortunately had some surface rust from sitting. I still have not gotten to that project yet, but I will give my impressions of the product. I like that it is all metal in construction and seems more than adequate to do the job. I was a bit concerned when I noted that the box states it is for a 4 in bore as my engine is bigger than that, but found that it expands to much larger so it should work just fine. The honing stones are held to the arms with cotter pins. It comes with an extra set of stones too, along with cotter keys. I will give an update in a few weeks when I finally get the engine pulled from the car and disassembled. So far though, I do recommend it and would get it again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality compared to what the local shops sold for more money 💰. Also an extra set of stones was nice.

This review is for EADUTY Engine Cylinder Hone Tool 2"-7" Diameter Adjustable Deglazer Kit with 3-Piece 4" Long stonesThis hone has a wide variety of uses. A central spring arrangement keeps constant pressure on all three arms that contain the stones. The shank is .380" in diameter with a flex joint that allows slight misalignment of the home driver and the bore being honed, This avoids gouges and other marks made when the driver is off alignment. The hone can work to a depth of at least 11.5" without the driver entering the bore.We used this to hone and enlarge slightly the inside diameter of a 2" stainless tube to allow a 2" OD to slide inside. Using ATF as a lubricant , running the hone at 150rpm , it worked smoothly and relatively quickly to clean up the inside of the tubing and create a smooth sliding joint. After about 90 minutes of mostly continuous use, there was little to no noticeable wear on the stones. Having an extra set of stones means this will last a long time. The resulting bore was checked with some Dykem and it appears that honing resulted in a round bore with even coverage over the entire surface. The price on this make it an exceptional value for occasional uses.

This product consists of various elements of construction. The heads appear to be built from thin gauge stainless steel with diamond dust stones glued to the stainless, the heads are then affixed to black steel arms with cotter pins. The arms are then attached to a set of galvanized steel ring and gate lock that are under spring tension. The gate is attached to a threaded shaft that contains a limiting nut that provides compression on a spring to determine overall hone width based on tension. Finishing out the end of the shaft is a flexible joint made from coiled wire which connects to a mandrel that will join to your drills chuck. The orientation of the coiled wire flex head and spring and threading of the rod is designed in a way that this hone can only be operated in a clockwise direction, running this in reverse or counterclockwise may dis-assemble this device.(BE ADVISED when you first receive this hone it will have a zip tie binding the arms together, when you cut the tie, the arms will fly out and demonically pinch your finger if you are holding it between the gate and the ring..........OUCH!)This product has the makings of a long lasting product with the exception of the heads, the stones appear to be of great quality for it's intended usage, however it's lifetime will be limited to either sheering a pin first or the glue baking off. For a limited use product however and at slow moderated speeds this should get the job done on a budget.

It's easy to see why the provide extra stones -stone are too soft they melt/sluff away under use - waste of money -
