Now I can reach the dip stick and service the air cleaner. Welded out of square but most people probably won't notice. I bet that is why this on is much cheaper. Doesn't affect functionality. Color is disgusting but helps remind me to take it off the truck before rolling.

Very sturdy and seems strong. The rubber bumpers sit directly where the rim meets the seal on my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. To prevent putting pressure on those exact points and breaking the seal on my tires, I bolted on a board that spans the width of the entire tire.

OEMTOOLS has a great customer service dept. I ordered my step and UPS screwed up and delivered to the wrong address and OEMTOOLS work with me and made things right. I am 5 ft. 10 in. and have a hard time unlatching and latching my king pin on my fifth wheel and the step really works great with F250 4x4. It's also great at check my oil and engine out. I recommend this product.

It’s a little too narrow for my 17 inch tires. Also a little too cheaply built. It’s great for getting up on my 4x4 to check the oil

My truck is factory (no lift) and I am 6 feet tall, but I could not fully insert my (oil) dipstick without getting on my toes and using the tips of my fingers, could barely reach to pull it out as well. That was the need I had and this product solved it.The unit folds up nice and neat, taking up very little precious garage space. When mine arrived it did not have any issues with the finish as others mentioned. I do concur that the instructions suck, toss them and use the photographs on Amazon, they are much clearer. Mine came with one bracket missing. I contacted the seller and they fed-exes just the missing part. I cut some slack when a seller screws up like that, it can happen to anyone. But I give huge props when they take the extra effort to make it right, and this one did!

l'ouverture au dessus de mes roues arrière n'est pas assez large pour permette l'installation, ça prend un vraiment gros VUS ou Pick-up avec les roues très dégagées

This tire step is so helpful for reaching things on the roof rack. We use it to help us secure things on the roof rack. The assembly instructions were awful, but we figured it out. The quality is excellent, and it's so convenient. We also purchased the Original Moki Door Step and we were going to decide on which one to keep, but it turns out they are both great. We can't really use a tire step on the front tires, as that is past the roof rack, so that's where the Door Step comes in handy, so we kept both.

It does what it is intended for and is pretty easy to assemble, although I forgot the listing here has good color photos and struggled to make sense of the small, blurry B&W pics in the instructions. The non-slip grate provides a reassuring amount of traction. It folds up easily for storage.Quality control is pretty lacking, at least on the one I received. The hardware bag was torn open, but fortunately all the stray pieces stayed in the box. Only some of the bars are wrapped, so others clanged about and gouged the finish in a few places. One of the cotter pins wasn't drilled all the way through. Some of the end caps weren't inserted fully. Nothing major, but I wouldn't trust the step for frequent use near its weight limit, given how little care went into it. I'm sure it's cranked out on the same Chinese assembly line as every other similar looking product, so I can't ding it more than 1 star for that.

Overview=========Hi. I just got this (Sept, 2017) and to give you a sense of my expertise level (not!), this my first tire step (cost = $25.99) from Mobile Distributor Supply (prime free shipping and very little tax).I noticed before posting the review that the price seems to have gone up a few dollars; hence for whatever reason, there is some price fluctuation. At the time, I was looking for the least expensive, quality combination. (That seems to be my algorithm...by in large).Purpose:========I wanted good access to my surfboards (NRS 2 inch straps, 8' foot length on Thule bars) and to an older very large Yakima space case storage box [(cost for that fyi: $60 craigslist + $12 PL 3x adhesive and fiber glass drywall tape -- this @ home depot + $6 two extra keys, ebay]. (footnote, sanding not done, but worked great for trip].Assembly:==========It took me a while (25 min) to assemble as directions were so-so at the very best. For the two sets of bolts, I used a 14 mm socket on one end and a 12 mm on the other.I had to hammer gently into place the holes to line up in order to assemble (using pieces themselves as I was a bit too lazy to fetch my hammer). To make the assembly that much easier, I put on my reading glasses, and printed out one of the product photos.Finishing and Fitment Thoughts==========================You might note that from the photos over the tire, I may in the near future, have to adjust the frame closeness to the tire (i.e. make it closer than it is). The rubber bumper pieces don't necessarily look sufficient in terms of not putting pressure on the tires (on the other hand, for now, I'm cool with the design; I'll just get up carefully. Along those lines, another reviewer has likewise written:"Rather than using the included feet, I just ran a thin piece of plywood behind the step area to cover the face of the tire, which spreads that pressure more evenly."Because I have a really high roof, I went for the maximum step height. (Notice the height of the step). The size tire that I'm putting the step on 235 75 R15 which seems relatively large to me.Also, I like that the step folds so I can better store in my vehicle. As I use the step, I will update -- so far; the price seems reasonable and so does the build quality.Final Thoughts============I did not receive this to review and naturally, I wish I was one of the 'reviewer-ati' who had that privilege; that being said, I would still write unbiased reviews (well, they are biased cause I wrote them, but I think you get the idea).
