Very disappointed- appears to be well built however the claim of scentless is far from accurate. Put a diaper in it and it stinks to high heavens. Fix the vent problem and would have given a much higher rating

We’ve had this pail for a few years now and just brought it out of storage for baby number 2.This pail is great on oder. I bought a huge sheet of charcoal filter, and I just cut out my own replacements as it’s is much cheaper. I fill the bottom part of the filter holder with three discs, and no odor escapes. The one we got has metal handles as shown, not plastic as in the description.I’ve found if it gets humid where you keep it, moisture does build up inside it, but if kept in a cool, dry place that does not happen. That’s the trade off probably for it being pretty air tight. Odor control is way better with this than one that isn’t as airtight (like a zipped up wet bag), and it holds more.Planet wise diaper pail liners fit perfectly and can be thrown in the wash with the diapers. The only thing I can not figure out is what goes in the little half ring on the inside of the lid. It’s too small to hold an arm and hammer odor control disc, and I do not see any order disks marketed for this pail.

The diaper pail is great and contains the odor well, until opening it. I place a bag in a box and the box fits in the pail so that the pail stays clean. Four star because the clamps do not work well - too loose.

These work well, even for adult diapers, which is what we’re using them for. There are only two parts(four if you count the lid screw thing) so nothing gets lost. Hasn’t cracked at all. When used with a regular kitchen trash bag stretched around the rim, or a PUL liner, there is no scent in the room once the initial scent from a diaper change fades. It really does contain scent. Trust me, we tried everything for him. After years of fighting with every pail on the market, this one makes the top three. It’s also easy to use. Unsnap one side of it, toss diaper in, snap back. Done. No fighting with weird chutes or replacing weird proprietary bags. Love it.There IS a scent when you first open it to put a diaper in, but with a diaper pail that’s the nature of the beast. Every pail will do that. It fades quickly and doesn’t let a bunch of scent into the room. Still keep some febreze handy though.Tl;dr - no smell. No rust,no cracks. Can use any trash bag. Easy to put diapers in.

We started cloth diapering 2.5 years ago, with a very tiny washing machine. We originally had the Mio nappy bucket, and it served our purpose well. Held a days worth of diapers for an infant, or for two toddlers. However, we recently upgraded to a giant washing machine, a huge difference from the previous apartment sized one. However, with our old bucket we needed to do wash every day otherwise it over flowed. We ordered this pail, and it is awesome! I couldn't fathom why I was spending $70 on a diaper bucket, but it was totally worth it. It fits more than 3 days of diapers, could fit two kids worth of diapers for 3 days. The sides latch closed easily, preventing my foster dogs from getting in but easy to open one handed while holding your freshly changed baby. No smell comes out at all (and we have a lot of stinky poop over here!), thanks to the charcoal filter provided.

This is great for 3-5 days worth of dipes for my little guy. I use 2 planet wise pail liners and it fits perfectly. Though with the pail liner it makes shutting the lid difficult without making marks on the plastic lid. I just leave the locks undone for now. Once I need to keep little hands out of the pail I will just drop the pail liner inside and lock it closed, no big deal. Keeps the strong dipe smell contained - never smell the funk in the bathroom until you open the lid. Real easy to sanitize in between washing CDs - air dry outside and it will stay fresh.

This diaper pail is excellent. Not so aesthetically pleasing but it's sturdy and sure traps off odor. It does not have push down foot pedal that opens the lid for you... but this diaper pail really works. Odor is so trap inside, when you open it you'll really smell the baby's pee. I guess you can use Munchkin Arm and Hammer diaper pail deodorizer to get rid of the smell. I haven't tried it but I will maybe have to. For the poopy diapers, I spray off the poops first and hang them dry before putting them in the pail. Don't want my pail too wet inside. This diaper pail is big enough. I can get by not washing my diapers for maybe 3 to 4 days. It's excellent. I also bought a liner for it. I bought the Planet Wise diaper pail liner. I like it too. They work fantastic together. Fits perfectly. I haven't had any issue at all. Pail is not very cheap but I think it's a good buy. I was first thinking of just buying cheap ones but if I don't, baby's diapers will get smellier and smellier as he gets older eating solid food. Don't want smelly nursery room. I'm satisfied.
