When you don't need the snorkel, simply fold it up and put it in your BCD pocket until you're ready to use it again. Don't worry you aren't giving up any functionality because of this convenient design. The Snorkel Pocket comes with Oceanic's dry top deflector to keep water out of your snorkel while you're swimming at the surface and the one-way valve offers you easy clearing.

I like the design and execution of the Oceanic Pocket Snorkel. I ended up with all that I could find was a Black on Black. I really would have preferred a Clear on Black as was said was available, but in the end it was Black on Black. I like the innovation that went into the snorkel lock - an oversized Velcro design and recognize that over time and usage Velcro lessens its grip. Snorkels have always had a locking issue, and this is a much better design than most. I love the replaceable, silicone drop away mouthpiece, and oversized purge valve as it all helps. Not quite sure about the value of the dry deflectors? It does do a good job of folding up small enough to go into a BC Pocket, but I can't imagine the Oceanic elastic band that holds and folds the snorkel not getting lost in short order. Four Stars for lacking availability of color options and no elastic band retention solution.

Great product for the tech diver. Stores easily in a pocket and the hard hook/pile tape mount stays out of your way and is easy to secure the snorkel when you need it

All of my diving is tourism diving meaning I travel with my gear. Almost always by plane. I work hard to keep my kit as small as possible to avoid checking a bag. This fit the bill perfectly. When compacted it fits inside the foot portion of my fins. Works great in the water. Used it for a full week in the Caribbean. Snorkel keeper may or may not work for you but to me that’s no big deal and easily replaceable for a couple bucks. The hook and loop got stuck in my wife’s hair when diving. She had the attachment on her mask but didn’t have the snorkel attached. I couldn’t use it at all as the strap on my scuba pro mask was too wide. Snorkel itself though is great and even better for travel.

Snorkel was amazing but now it is at the bottom of the ocean due to the clasp not being secure enough to hold it to the mask while diving.

Good snorkel for its purpose. Can be put in BCD and used when needed.

Folds up nicely to store in the pocket of my bcd. The snorkel keeper it comes with seems great. Separate the Velcro tab (very secure) and slide it on to your mask strap. I plan to use this for shore dives but it appears to be good to roll out of a boat with, I just hate diving with the snorkel attached to my mask and this is a great solution for me.

One less thing on my face when I dive. I don’t know why this has not swept the diving industry yet. I attached the Velcro connector to my mask and shoved the snorkel in my pocket. If I ever need it, I have a snorkel that is every bit as good as my Oceanic. But when I am diving, it is neatly tucked in the pocket of my BC. As a minimalist, it is well pleasing. As a safety conscious diver, I rest secure knowing that it will easily attach to the mask, and I am set to snorkel without worries of it falling off.

This is a fantastic snorkel ..it has a clip that you add to your mask and has strong velcro for holding the snorkel. The velcro allows the snorkel to be removed I gently separating the velcro. I have dove with this snorkel many times and it has never come apart from the velcro..super strong. The snorkel can be folded, is very easy to clear as it has a lower Purge.
