One importnat detail: You have to remove the remaining inner pipe from the broken toilet flange before using this product. I bought the 4 inch and then the 3 inch before I figured this out. (silly, I know now). Use a hand saw and a heat gun to first remove one sector, then work your way around to remove the entire inner pipe. Then the product works like described.

I had to grind down the inside of my cast iron pipe a bit to get it to fit. But that's more 30 year old build-up than the flange. Loved the tightening screws to keep it in place

Just wanted to simply replace my toilet but I have a 60 year old cast iron line (with a broken original cast iron flange). Was running out of options until I came across a YouTube video that used one of these.. So I took a chance. So far it has definitely paid off!Once you remove the old flange (ie, the LEAD seal) this puppy popped right on.

Removing the old cast iron flange proved to be a challenging task. I managed to cut off the top part and level it with the floor. Using a bit of plumber's grease, a trick I picked up from YouTube videos, I easily inserted the new flange into the cast iron pipe. Securing it by twisting was easy and gave me confidence that it had created a tight seal, which should prevent future issues. I'm very pleased with this product and will definitely use it again when I replace my downstairs toilet.

Super easy to install, it was removing the original flange that was an inordinate amount of work. The head of that flange had snapped off when trying to even it out on the floor due to a bad original install 15 years ago. I had to cut out the broken flange with a reciprocating saw, or rather my neighbor had to, because I didn't have a reciprocating saw. Once that was all chipped out, this installed easily. But read the directions, you need to move the gasket up a couple of threads to start out and then turn the entire flange once it is set into the 4 inch pipe. Just keep turning it and the gasket will ride up the threads until it fits snuggly in the pipe. Great solution without need of pipe adhesives.

The feature gasket was missing. The concept is that the tapered screw will tighten against the pipe by driving up the gasket. Without a gasket this feature does not work. I will have to improvise. 2 stars for fast delivery. Missing part costs 3 stars. Nice looking white toilet flange with long insert. Fits flush, 4 inch model.

Although I like the concept of these as they are tool less , They are a pain to tighten up. They are nice in the fact that you can adjust the rubber gasket on the flange into the sewer pipe and then twist the flange into place, but the whole process of finding the sweet spot and twisting the flange into place just isn't worth it. You really have to twist to get it secure and I just wasn't impressed. I'd recommend the other style that you put in and then tighten up the lower ring with a driver to press out the bottom of the flange to secure it to the sewer pipe. It's nice in theory but not so much in practice. I did install it and keep it in place but I wouldn't purchase another one.
