This flanged drain tube is made from nicely chrome plated heavy gauge brass. 0.042" or 1.0mm wall thickness. It was perfect for my use as part of a musical instrument. Description of "alloy steel" is incorrect.

Decent gauged steel. Far better than the one that corroded that I replaced.

I wanted a METAL tailpiece to connect the other METAL pipes and this one was the best one I found. It arrived right on time and installed quickly and produced no leaks!

Thick gauge , beautifully chromed , great price. Why can't they make the waste arms thick like this one? Only 22ga paper thin waste arm pipes are available to match from this company...

Watching Survival Lilly on the tube.....and she uses these for candle molds for UCO candles for her lantern. I bought six...they perfectly fit! Even if you don't use a UCO lantern, they mold a perfect utility candle. Couple of tips she didn't seem to know: pour your wax AFTER the melt pot skins over and into a warm mold. You want skinned over because it's at the perfect temp to prevent sink holes from the shrinking wax....and the warm mold does the same. After the candle solidifies, pop the metal mold into the freezer for a short while. Also, you can use the mold edge as an easy trim gauge for the mold flash. Also, if you know anyone that takes meds, a 40 dram pill bottle BOTTOM makes a perfect mold bottom. Carefully cut the bottle bottom off and tape it in place before you pour.
