We need to securely fasten electrical power wires over a metal framed bus, and this allows us to place a plastic layer behind and in front of the wires as we tie them down to the bus. This also allows the wire to move, if necessary, as the frame of the bus flexes, and doesn't present a sharp edge to the wire.

The fixture was so lightweight that I was confident it would hang on the ceiling "base" without the bracket if I could figure out how to attach the base to the ceiling. I used this plastic hangar strapping to screw into the ceiling on the outside and inside of the base. The fan/light fixture slid up and onto the base, you turn it to the right and it locks into place. This plastic hanger tape made it easy to attach the fan/light fixture to the ceiling. Worked for me!
