My primary reason for buying these straps was to find something easier on my hands (they don't work as well as they used to). These definitely delivered in that regard. The buckles overall have more surface area to grip, allowing the use of more than just the tips of fingers/thumbs. They are large enough to provide nice leverage when opening, requiring less effort, but not so large that you can't get a grip. The alligator style buckle grips the strap well as long as you remember to thread it through the buckle from the bottom. The buckles feel solid, not like they'll break after multiple uses. The strap itself is single ply stiff webbing that is cut diagonally on the end, forming a point off to one side. This makes it easy when threading through tie downs, d-rings, etc., as long as they are 1" or larger in diameter. The webbing does not fold easily (stiff) for smaller diameter openings, but is manageable as long is you don't go much below 1". I would have preferred soft double-ply (tube) webbing, but these are true to the description and more than up to the task.I'm using these to lash loads inside an SUV. They are rated at 450 lbs and I can't imagine even approaching that for an inside load. For anything substantial carried outside (SUV rack, truck bed, trailer), I'd opt for something where you can ratchet down the load as these tend to slip through the tie downs as you pull to tighten, making it somewhat difficult to really cinch down a load. All that said, for everyday lashing of small to medium loads, these are very handy and easy to use. They also roll up to a size suitable to keep in your vehicle so you are not without them when you need them.

Great product. The tape is very easy to connect with the holder, as compared with others. Bought 4 and more coming for transporting bikes and chairs to campsites.

I was impressed with these when I got them. The material is extremely strong. I have to admit it took me a couple of tries to get the buckle put together the right way, but once I did it was absolutely non-slip.I'm using these along with D-rings to attach a 24 gallon water tank in my camper van and they hold it securely, no worries about it coming loose. As a bonus, I had to cut about 8' off each strap, so now I have some really nice straps to find another use for.

The 4Pk 1" x 8ft Lashing Strap with Alligator Thumb Buckle Cargo Secure Webbing Up to 450lbs, Purple are as perfect a lashing strap as I could've hoped for. My primary use for these are for securing cargo in my toy-hauler RV. These work extremely well for holding items in place during transport and are a lot easier to use than ratchet straps. I like using these for securing equipment items together and securing items to the inner walls. They allow you to secure items fast and keep them in place. The spring loaded buckles do a great job of holding the nylon webbing straps tight and only take a firm press to release them. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of these 1" x 8ft Lashing Straps with Alligator Thumb Buckles and consider them an outstanding value!
