First off, the construction of these is really nice and solid. They are large and heavy, with smooth finish and great attention to detail. The clamping force is spot on, and these grip the wood well. They do leave decent sized holes where the clamp bites in, but that is how they are designed. If that section will be visible, just use a little wood putty before finishing, and you are good to go. These are a great alternative to other types of corner clamps, allowing a perfect right angle.

Right out of the box you can feel how robust and heavy duty these clamps are. Very well made with a great fit and finish. You'll have not problem putting some pressure with these. They are kind of a different clamp, but once you get the hang of them, they usually work well. One note, these do leave holes you will need to fill after using them.Sadly, there are NO instructions in the box. Nothing, not even a thank you note. These are not too difficult to figure out, but they are not exactly normal clamps. So you'll probably have to do some trail and error, which you shouldn't have to do with the brand new product. It's a shame, if they showed they cared about their customers enough to show them how to use the product they spent money on, these would be 5 stars.

Everything I see made by this company impresses me. O’school is definitely targeting the professional market by making quality tools that you can count on.These corner clamps are no exception. They are heavy duty construction out of long lasting metal components. The cam operation for tightening them is smooth and is effortless to operate. The teeth really grab and give you the necessary pressure on a corner so that only glue can be used to make a tight long lasting miter. The dimples that the teeth leave are deep but are well defined so filling is a possibility but I recommend over sizing and joining the dimples out on a jointer. Clamping the corners with such force as these clamps provide makes dealing with the dimples a necessary step so it’s a trade off. Strap clamps and other alternatives just don’t provide the same level of force that these clamps do.I have used these for frames, some box construction and even used them to hold some framing corners together for nailing. Worked great as a third hand on assembling a double top plate that was staggered. These are great clamps and the top shelf quality of construction makes the entry fee of one thirtyish a good value since these are lifetime products. Definitely a buy once and forget about replacing it ever product.

First off, I've owned a cabinet shop since 2011. I think that experience puts me up into the expert area when it comes to woodworkering tools.I was very pleased with these.Heavy duty. Seem made well.Even the box was nice. This O'Skool stuff seems like quality stuff. Not some cheap Chinese made crap. Not everyone needs clamps like these. They are for very certain projects. I don't do them often. But they can really help out if you need them. The only drawback is the giant holes the pins make. But that can be taken into account.I use these for when I do giant engraved maps on my laser machines. I'll frame them after they have been engraved. Sometimes it can be rough to get the miters perfect on the frames, and these help out. Because of the pins I just make the frames a little wider, then trim the edges on the table saw after they are glued up. So its like the pins never did any damage at all.I don't think you could just sand away the holes. They go pretty deep. All in all I'm very happy with these clamps. I have been super happy with everything I have gotten from this company actually.

Now if you know you know. I knew these were not gonna be Chestnut and chowder quality but for a pair of fairly priced clam clamps they ain’t bad. Of course I can’t give 5 stars as they ain’t that nice but if you can’t get the C&C version these are actually very good. Not sure of long term use but they actually champ a little harder but barely. Good build and weight. Not sure about the handles but I might have to lock tight the little end caps but not a big deal. No spares included but didn’t expect that in the ones in this price range. Overall not bad
