I bought this clamp to use with the kreg pocket hole jig. I have used it enough to gauge it, after all it's pretty simple.I like the feel of it generally. The materials feel solid and well made. The mechanism moves nicely and it operates smoothly. It has the normal screw type of adjustment so it works for a wide range of material thicknesses. I think it will be a well performing clamp for a long time.Some things I was a little disappointed in were the finer details. The rubber over mold on the handles is pretty cheap and not the best fit. Some of the other reviews cover that issue pretty well. Also for the price difference I would buy the automatic adjusting one next time so I don't have to worry about messing with adjusting it while trying to hold the work in place as well.Overall it's a good clamp, but nothing special compared to any other option on the market

I have the Kreg R3 Junior pocket hole jig. It works beautifully, and before I bought these clamps I was just using an F-Body style clamp to hold it down. That worked no problem but it definitely added some time to my process. Also, an F-Body clamp doesn't hold edges flush very well. With these clamps, they slide perfectly into the Kreg R3 Junior and snap into place so the jig and clamp become one unit. I bought two of the clamps so I could leave one in the jig and use the other to hold the edges flush while I install the screws. Very happy after 3 years of use and still going strong.

I bought this to use with the small 2 hole Kreg pocket jig, and it worked flawlessly. Don't know how I could have made it through the bookshelf/entertainment center project without this, as it really speeds up placement of the jig and more importantly, holds the jig and keeps it from 'creeping' as the pocket drill bit goes into the wood.Easy and quick to adjust the clamping force as needed. I didn't realize just how much the thickness of plywood varies, but you will know immediately when you clamp this down from hole to hole when it clamps tight on one hole then the next hole just a few inches away is loose. Does not leave any mark or impression on the bottom surface where the clamp pad meets the wood.

I bought this clamp after purchasing the Kreg Jr kit. I built an end table using the Kreg jr and quick clamps that I already had but found that those clamps required two hands to use and have accurate placement of the jig. this left me one hand short to hold any oversized boards in place as I clamped. after building that end table I purchased this clamp and boy is it night and day difference. the Kreg Jr snaps onto this clamp making it much easier to position and clamp, and keeps the jig from falling off the work board. additionally since this is an adjustable clamp, you can set it for the required thickness and then unlock and move to another spot on the board, or another equally thick board without having to start over again.pros--much easier to use the kreg jr on similar sized boards than other clamps-jig wont fall off work surface because it is attached to the clamp-size is right for most projectscons--costs slightly more than I would prefer-like most newer "vice grip" style camps, it does not include a release latch on the handle. some prefer this but I lament the loss of that little release latch.over all, I am happy with the purchase, I wish the cost was slightly lower but I found the clamp to be worth the money. if you have the Kreg Jr this is a must get accessory.

This is the perfect clamp for the Kreg R3. I like that one of the swivel heads fits nicely in the R3's pad. When I realized that I would need a Kreg jig to make repairs to a futon that used hardwood and was joined together using a pair of dowels on one piece, and a pair of mortise & tenon joints on each of the two supporting rails, but the tenons were of the "loose" variety (i.e., not a part of the rail). I thought I could just re-glue the dowels & the tenons and clamp the whole thing together, but figured I needed additional strength and 4 Kreg joints were just the answer. This PREMIUM face clamp allowed me to set the R3 in position for all 4 Kreg joints. I knew this was a must have to make it all work together.I wish there were rubber boots that could be slid onto the swivel heads to make use of the clamps elsewhere, but with the R3 it works great.
