I have been buying these mop refills at a local hardware store for years. They are no longer available there, so I checked Amazon of course. The mop didn't even survive one floor wash. It came apart on first push.

I have purchased and used this exact mop refill twice before without any incident. This most recent refill, however, was a total disaster. Perfect fit (it was the correct refill model) but almost immediately during my first moping, the entire sponge part began to peel away from the metal base bracket (the part with "teeth") and come apart from the mop. Within a few mop strokes, the sponge became totally detached from the mop. What was left was a big rectangular sponge with "teeth" marks and the base bracket (with "teeth" now holding nothing) still connected to the end of the mop handle. This is the same problem as mentioned in quite a few other reviews. Wow, I now have a big blue sponge that works (on my hands and knees) but is totally useless as a mop. What else can I say other than this was a total waste of money and time.

Used pliers to squeeze metal together a bit more but not enough to distort the metal that holds the sponge in place. Make sure to follow the directions when attaching the sponge to the mop. Worked well. Used to wash ceilings and walls. Not as much dripping when working over your head on the ceiling, and don't have to use a ladder.

If you're using a roll-o-matic mop, this is the correct refill. The fast-n-easy and other models don't fit and they fall apart. All of the o'cedar sponge mop refills are poorly made and overpriced. There is no such thing as a good value but if this is your mop, this is your refill because it fits right and lasts longer because of that. Some of the other models are better priced but it's not a good deal if they don't fit because sometimes they don't even last long enough to finish a room before they start coming apart. I have a bucket-full of o'cedar mop heads that are practically new but came apart at the metal clip.

I have mixed thoughts as to how to rate this product. I was searching for 10" mop O-Cedar Mop heads on Amazon. I clicked on similar products shown to me by Amazon, and I ended up choosing this product, which didn't have a size listed on the product description. But it had another product paired with it, a 10" wood floor mop head, which I researched to make sure did fit my mop head, and I decided to purchase both. The 10" wood floor mop head arrived first and the next day I received the two standard mop heads, but they were 8 1/2" long vs the 10" long products I had been specifically looking at originally. So I come back to look at what I actually ordered and the only place I find size information is in the comments and reviews section. A customer shouldn't have to go down the rabbit hole only to find out that the white rabbit they were originally chasing isn't a white rabbit at all. So, I'm not sure if it's a matter of the seller not providing enough description, or Amazon linking non-identical items or what. I would accept responsibility had the information been on the general product description. But customers shouldn't have to go any further than that to research what they are purchasing. :(Other than that, I'm sure this is just like the 10" replacements I've bought previously that won't hold up more than a couple of months. Definitely not worth the price paid, but I don't know what the alternative is really. :(

perfect fit for my o cedar mop I had to order 2 refills for the mop They were the correct size for my mop and were easily installed However both mop refills slipped out of the holder after they were used one time rendering them useless and once they slip out of the metal holder the sponge is impossible to reinsert necessitating a purchase of a new mop at the store If you need a refill for this partricular mop save money and buy a new mop

I should have gone with my first instinct and buy a complete new mop. Instead, I figured it would be more "Eco-smart" if, instead, I just bought a refill for the mop I've had for years. The first mop head lasted almost a year with daily usage. I popped this refill head on and proceeded to mop my floor. Into my third swipe of the floor, the entire sponge came off the head. I wasn't using extra force, just regular swiping. Felt like a dupe buying this thing, when the next day I had to go out and buy a whole new mop. I found a mop that I like, and it was the same price as the replacement head I wasted my money on. Not worth it. Mops are inexpensive now. Just replace the whole thing, especially if companies aren't going to use quality materials in replacement heads.

I bought this replacement for an old mop (more than 15 years old) and the old foam refill was simply soft foam that the mop squeezes to extract the dirty water. The new foam is ribbed and includes a course nylon part attached to the sponge. Both are great for scrubbing. The amazing thing is that it fit my old mop perfectly. In this day of non-repairable products and disposable cell phones, being able to revitalize an old product so well was refreshing!
