I purchased the Tahoe Cattle Restraint Halter for a young highland heifer (approx 300 pounds) who was previously inclined to drag my husband across the 40 when he worked with her. The chain under the chin adds just the right amount of control to get her to respect him as he teaches her to lead. It seems well made & I expect it to last well beyond the 6 month warranty period. I would like to see smaller sizes offered along with solid colors but overall it is the best halter we've discovered for training cattle.

The halters looked very nice, I used it to tie up a milk cow when I had a calf nursing on her. The cow tried to turn around and snapped the chain part of the halter.

The design on this halter is beautiful. We got the blue version. We used it on an eight month old red bull Dexter calf. At first he didn't like it, but it is incredibly stout with a great restraint chain preventing our handsome boy from escaping us when we need to move him into the pasture. He has already become accustomed to it, and now he doesn't even notice it. We added some holes of our own using a hot nail, and that allows us to keep it tight so the chain and loops don't dangle, eliminating any risk of him getting hung up on the fence or a tree. This halter is extremely well made, and we wouldn't be hesitant to put it on our 2,400 lb. Brangus bull were it to fit. There is no question whatsoever about the durability. We also like the adjustable chin strap which helps it to fit appropriately and more snug. Overall this is a great product. We purchased a small calf size. It will easily last through most of his growth stages. He might need a larger one in another year. In the meantime, this was money well spent!

I have 2 mini cows one was a yearling that was not halter broke so I wanted a halter with a chain to help out but it is extremely hard to find a halter with a chain for mini cows. I was happy to find these. I had to punch a few holes to make it fit my yearling (Dexter x Jersey) but she has grown into it. It fit very nicely on my two-and-a-half-year-old (Angus x Dexter). They have worked very nicely for both my girls and I am happy with this purchase.

Product is made of quality materials but had to be returned as the Future Farmers group requires a different type of halter.

We got this for our little Dexter cow and it has held up well in her adventures around the pasture! She is smaller than a normal cow, so we had to add holes to the medium.

Good quality but small cattle size is way too big for Dexter 8 mo heifer. May fit when she is full grown.
