This cooktop is easy to use. It heats up very quickly. It turns on @ 375 degrees.It cooked/ browned stew meat, sausage patties, etc rapidly.It is well worth the price.I am very happy I bought this Induction cooktop!

I just receieved this cooktop and yes it works very good for the first day. It is large and it works well with my 11 inch saute pan. It seems as if it heats the pan evenly but what i like most is that you can control the temperature. This is great if you are starting out on a cooking pilgrimage because temperature control is where most cooks fail - butter burns, oils burn and become rancid etc. . . .. . So far so good and they give you an extra 4 years of warranty on this product for a total of 5 year warranty - not bad.

I bought this as a test run to see if I liked induction cooking well enough to replace my current range with an induction range. The answer is YES! This little device heats up quickly, cooks food very well, cleans up like a breeze. I did have to buy a new skillet, but that is ok. I found a cute hot pink skillet that also cooks well and cleans up like a breeze, so it's all good.

I've bought other induction cooktops from Nuwave and love them. They have nice firm strong surfaces that can handle larger size pots. This is the first I've seen where the heat element is 8 inches rather than 5 inches so that a much larger surface of pots & pans is heated so food cooks more evenly with bigger pots & frypans. Another nice feature is that it can be set in 5 degree implements for precise temperature settings that go all the way to 500 degrees when most stop at 450 degrees. The heat settings are very responsive & the flat surface with controls placed in extended area make cleaning it very easy.Between this induction stove my air crisper & a pressure cooker I hardly ever use my gas oven anymore.

Love. Super fast and every efficient. Great for off grid/solar lifestyle. Adjustable watt draw. Good value. Addicting. Actually Fun. Should you for coming on anything else. Use in place of a kitchen range. Best part is after cooking you can keep your food warm without over cooking. Ditto the morning coffee pot. No noise. Attractive round design makes centering and placing pots easier. Good for the environment.

I have used it a few times now. It works well, the fan is quieter than the one I had before ( a model from another brand, about 75% cheaper). I hate the sound of a fan but I am not aware of a model that does not have one. It stops as soon as you stop cooking ( the fan kept running a few minutes with my previous model).For low power ( simmer), the device sends the heat with ON / OFF cycles (you can hear very very subtle clicks) but the cycles are very fast and the heat is very stable on your plate . My previous device had a cycle of 10 sec and it was impossible to do any low heat cooking or to keep your plate warm. This part is great and it opens the door to more types of usage. I used my previous model only to get something boiling very fast since at low power, with those long cycles, it was not really usable.The model is a little bulky, large diameter and thick. I knew from the measurements but still it is not a small thing. The buttons are real push buttons (they are not touch buttons as it was said in a comparison table that I saw on Amazon -- these tables are full of mistakes very often). So, the buttons are push type (a little membrane, waterproof, that pops down when you press it). Frankly, they dont seem like they will last many years.Overall, so far I like it. Not perfect but a huge step above my previous model. The stability (not necessarily the precision) of the temperature is true and this is an important factor. In other words it holds very well its temperature but if it says 200, it just means warmer than 190 and that's fine with me.

This little unit has super even cooking. I fried breaded chicken and the even heat gave superb results. It makes a rather strange noise, not loud just strange mechanical sound that is easy to tune out while cooking. Very happy with results and easy to clean.

I have had a Nuwave for years. It finally became unusable when the push buttons wore out. I can't bewithout one, and this one came promptly and in good order. I am rarely unhappy with anything I orderfrom Amazon.

The voltage required by the cooktop only works in specific regions of the world (it can only take a maximum of 144V). I had to return mine since my country has a line voltage of 230V.

This is my second NuWave. The other is years old and still going strong. I've decided to "go electric" this winter. I have a gas stove and that means running the vent above it anytime I want to cook. And THAT means sucking warm air out of the house....and then, having to replace it. Seems stupid. So, as I said, I'll go electric all Winter. No fumes, no fans, no wasted warm air.These NuWaves work great. Give it a try. At first the digital pad may look confusing, but not for long. I'm nuts about this product. I just made an enormous stove-top Pot Roast using this in a large "Larder and Vine" oval cast iron Dutch oven (another great product BTW). Came out great. Love the timer! And there seems to be NO limit on that timer. And that's important for something like a Pot Roast that needs to cook for 5 or 6 hours!So instead of running the vent for the gas cook top and shunting heat out the roof, this added heat to the house. This is a no-brainer for winter cooking or ANY time you need another "burner" for entertaining or whenever. BTW, works great in the RV because you can control the amount of electricity being used. I run it off of a Jackery generator there and the two have worked great together.NuWave has maintained the quality and I hope this one holds up for many years. To NuWave: maintain the quality control. A+
