I don't recommend buying it. If I can, I want to retreat, the space reserved for the door is really too small. If the gap between your door and the door is small, you can buy it. If not, don't buy it.

Its a good product but they really should include some basic diagrams showing which direction the pieces go and it should include the shim kit by default since most doors have decorative trim.

This door guard really helped secure my front door, which otherwise had only a deadbolt that can be hacked and unlocked from the outside by a locksmith capable thief. Also this guard protects from my young kid from going outside when he shouldn't. Installation was challenging but only because my outside door frame wasn't flush, so I had to break out the dremel to smooth out an area. But after completion it looks great and works great.

Once you come in....you never come out. Muhahahah. Just kidding. This is great- especially for wanting to increase the security of your front door if it' especially vulnerable (ie busy street, Baltimore, etc).
