Installation:
1. Extract the upper chamber from the system.
2. Open the lid and unscrew the oid water filter cartridges from the upper chamber.
3. Fill a clean container with clean water and soak the replacement water filter in the water for at least 30 minutes. Tilt the water filter, while under water, so that any air
bubbles can escape from both ends.
4. Extract the replacement filter from the water. Cover the holes with either your fingers or the blue caps that came with the filter, and shake the filter vigorously. Then tap them
lightly on the counter to loosen any residual manufacturing dust.
5. Screw the new water filter onto the upper chamber.
6. Return the upper chamber to the system by placing it onto the lower chamber.
7. Fill the upper chamber with water and let it drain into the lower chamber. When the lower chamber is full, discard the first batch of water as it may contain residual manufacturing
dust. The system is now ready for use.

I noticed a big difference in how well my kurieg coffee pot operated. The water (faucet) was causing my coffee to drip maybe a small/medium cup size amount of coffee. After just a few short weeks of using the filtered water, it now slightly overflows my medium sized coffee cup on the medium setting. I can only assume that it was the filtered water making such a big difference.I love the filters!

I found this product and said what the heck I will take a chance. Seemed a bit unreal that I could get these for my Berkey for the price. I received them using the "adapter from Berkey to prime the new filters." I ran water through them 3 times before using the filtered water for human consumption. The water tastes delicious. I can not tell the difference from the original Berkey black filters, other than the price:)Highly recommend this product if you have a Berkey with black filters especially if they are running slow.I will buy another set when needed.

Tested these against Berkey black filters, using same size water systems (BB) both with new filters, no variance in amounts of water used or it’s origin.After 1 month, filtration slowed down drastically with these filters to maybe only filtering with top half of filter. Water has to be filled to the brim in order to get any filtered water at all from these & takes hours (yes plural) per 1 gallon.Berkey filters in other water system still rocking on, full filter filtration, no noticeable slowing per gallon. The last set of Berkeys lasted 2.5 years. I’ve had a Berkey for 9 years, so yes I know what I’m talking about.Can’t recommend due to a huge difference in quality.

These are great water filters. With the uncertain times we are facing. It pays to have a way to filter your water. Who knows when you will need to filter your water. The price on these filters is great as well.

So far I cannot tell the difference between these filters and the original Berkey filters, and the water tastes great. The price is much more affordable as well.

My personal review for what it's worth,I purchased these water filters because the original OEM water filters from the manufacturer are so expensive that it forces me to look elsewhere because of my budget.That being said, there are a lot of sellers out there that sell water filters that are pure junk and you have to be very careful especially when you're filtering water through something that you're going to be drinking.I am not a chemist and I have not had the water examined for contaminants or anything else. This is just my opinion based on what I have found so far when using these filters.The filters seem to be made as good a quality as the OEM filters at a fraction of the cost as mentioned the OEM filters are hundreds of dollars And these are a fraction of that cost yet I find after priming them like you do with all filters for this unit that they produce the same taste and quality of water at the same flow rate as the original OEM filters and so that and also the fact that they are according to the manufacturer's descriptionNSF/ANSI Certified and I have no reason to doubt that statement from the manufacturer of these filters.And since I have had these now since September 2nd 2024 when I originally placed the order on Amazon I've had a chance to use them for a while and if they continue to work as well as I have I am definitely going to be buying again from the same seller in the future.Best regards from Kenai, AlaskaDon B.
