The metal isn't quite strong enough to maintain its shape when pulling larger PLCCs. The cheap, stamped metal hooks start to bend out after a few ICs then start to slip. You can bend them in again, but the metal fatigue has already started and it will bend again far more quickly.So I'd say it's suitable for up to PLCC-44 and the occasional PLCC-68, but nothing larger.

They can work for pulling a lot of things and work good for chips as they were designed for. Love them.

The clip that fits under the IC on each side needs to be larger. The plastic and metal are both flimsy and of apparent low quality. There are 2 to a pack, however you may want to consider 1 higher quality puller for the same price.That said, these do work with a bit of effort.
