I was expecting to be disappointed. It’s beautiful! It warms my room! It’s large and doesn’t look cheap. I was able to assemble it myself and it took just a few hours! Very good purchase!

This was more difficult to assemble than first anticipated. Some of the boards were damaged during packaging, but the location of the defects are not visible. Also, some of the parts did not have any letters so I had to guess which ones they were. Furthermore, there wasn't enough provided glue. The cam lock hardware is cheap. I mean really cheap. They will bend and break if you look at them funny. I bent several during assembly and outright broke a couple of them. Also, there is *NO* spare hardware. No spare dowel pins, screws, cam locks, or cam pins. I had some cam locks left over from another project that I was able to use. If you get this, make sure you have some spare hardware on hand as well as extra glue.As for the fireplace insert itself, this company didn't make it. It has it's own instruction manual to assemble it. It looks nice when assembled and working and the remote makes changing the mood of the room easy. It also features touch buttons on the front as well. The fireplace insert was the only good thing about this. If I knew beforehand how much of a pain the mantel part was going to be to assemble, I would have built my own. It would have been easier and probably faster.

It a beautiful shade of blue and looks nice. A drop of water near the bottom or where it meets the floor however will cause damage. I suggest you seal the footer and heater center with clear caulking and shellac the bottom. I had a plant sitting on it last summer and what must have only been a few drops water caused the paritcle board to swell so now it looks bad on one side. Also, the heater now makes a vibrating sound when turned on every time and there is no filter or way to access the inside to clean out any dust.

Love this fireplace so calming and relaxing. Putting it together was challenging definitely a 2 person job. Company was great sending replacement pieces

We ordered this fireplace in blue for our bedroom converted into a cozy TV room. We loved the look of this fireplace and the finished product (minus one chip in the front facing blue board) looked good. Problem is this is not an easy build. I had a professional home builder put mine together for me. It was a full day of work for him with me helping as needed. I would describe this as advanced build - not easy or intermediate. At the end of the day we had a choice to make….Build the fireplace several inches from the wall which is what is needed to get the fireplace to blow heat safely or notch out the trim and build the fireplace up to the wall and only use the light feature - which looked better. We just felt it was a bad design to have the fireplace so far from the wall - it just did not look good. While we like the fireplace and it looks nice, for all of the effort and price, we would not do this again and cannot recommend it to others because the fireplace is not useable due to poor design. There are other similarly priced models that can be both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
