So disappointed. We love love love the insert itself but we can’t get the remote to work. Very disappointing. I don’t want to return it but unless we can get a working remote it’s going back.

IF I could even tell you how much this thing has saved us in LP this winter in our RV!!!!! It's Great! Keeps us so warm!!!! Looks pretty too! Thermostat works great! Just don't lose your remote cause it adjusts that part. Everything else will work on the side of the unit. We keep ours in the TV unit for safe keeping!Replacement for a 2011 Montana fifth wheel. We had to put a tiny strip of trim around it cause it wasn't an exact fit. My husband used flat bar and we painted it black. NO ONE CAN EVEN TELL! 11-12 Monty Owners, STOP FIGHTING that one they gave us...GET YOU ONE OF THESE!!! WOW it's so nice to lay the monster to rest!!! AND it's helping us save money in LP SEASON!!! haha -You're Welcome!

I purchased this Jan 2024, it worked great. Heated my 5th wheel camper real nice. Then it just stopped working in Nov 2024.

So easy to assemble, beautiful flames with different controls. It also puts out nice heat. I like how classy it looks and that it is only a couple inches in depth.

I submitted to return this heater for a refund. Took a chance and purchased a new unit. So far I am impressed. Currently experiencing an extreme polar vortex so the heater is working harder than normal and it really pushes some hot air!The fire place is one of the best I’ve seen. The blue accent light is a welcome detail for me.The control panel and display are super low quality.Old review;Broke down after only a couple usesI bought it less than a month ago. Only used it twice before and it won’t stay on. I did not have the extra cash to burn on this one.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I love the fire scene and the heater adds to my room for my Winter needs. I was reluctant to purchase after reading the reviews, but it looked great and the price was good, so I ordered it. There were complaints about the remote not working, but you just need to get to know it. It is multifunctional. I have learned that pushing the power button once turns on the fireplace and the heat. When I need to turn it off, I need to push the power button twice, and it turns off the view and the heat. There is a delay for the heat to turn off, so be patient. This is a safety feature on most heaters. I didn't care for the backlighting, so I keep it turned off. I would say to play with the remote until you are familiar with the options that are available. It's a great heater, and I love lying in bed watching the flames, and the heat is just enough for my use.

Had the fireplace about a week. Received faulty in that with flames on there was a repeatative knocking like the flame fan motor was catching. Otherwise the fire worked great and gave a lovely ambience to our room without taking up much space. Anyway, reported the knocking via Amazon to the manufacturer. Within TWO hours of reporting, I had several responses and a tracking number for a replacement shipped out. Received replacement today and works flawlessly. Overall we love the fireplace, but I must rave about the .manufacturers customer service...Absolutely second to none!!! Excellent!

The unit was well packaged, and easy to mount on the wall. The plug and cord comes out of unit on the middle of right hand side which would be great connecting to a receptacle on that side but not much on the left. The cord was not long enough to reach mine requiring an extension cord.The visuals are very pleasing and gives the room a warm feel. The heat output is fine for a small space.The remote control is hit and miss, and sometimes needs 2 or 3 pushes to register.The sound from the fan is pretty loud and requires a loud tv to overshadow it.At this price point, I didn't expect perfection and all in all, I'm satisfied with purchase.Update: the remote control failed completely but an email to manufacturer was answered immediately and they sent me a new one within a week! Great customer service.

I purchased this item to hang in our living room and received it relatively quickly all things considered right now. At first glance, it was a bit deeper than I thought it would be, but the measurements were accurate and it was more a visual thing of actually seeing it. The quality of the unit is quite good, and the installation was pretty simple. Having an extra set of hands will make things a lot easier as well. Once hung on the wall it looked fantastic and the fireplace effect was quite good, with control over the flame speed, the brightness and the surrounding colour. (led strip that sits on the back of the unit. For those wondering, you can control the surrounding colour but not the actual colour of the flames. I later had an issue with the unit and I contacted Flame&Shade customer support. They were amazing! They took care of my problem right away and even went above and beyond on what was needed.All in all the product is pretty good, especially for the price, but what makes this a very high recommendation was their amazing customer support. I highly suggest going with them if you are looking for an electric fireplace or any other product they sellPROS:• CUSTOMER SERVICE. I can't stress how good they were. I've dealt with a lot, and they were one of the best• Quality of product• Visual effects (especially with logs at it can be difficult to find one at this price point)CONS:• A little deeper than I anticipated, but that was my error as dimensions were correct• fan can be a bit noisy when running• Not a con, but I wish we could control the colour of the flames as well as the led light on the back.NOTE:Because I didn't read the instructions thoroughly I missed the part that talks about there being a switch ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT to turn on the heat. Once it's installed the switch can't be reached without taking the unit back of the wall.
