This simple tortilla keeper is great to have for a quick taco meal. Just put them in, zap them in the microwave for a bit and you're ready to go!

The only thing I dislike is that it says great for “reheating” but DO NOT reheat with the lid on. I did by accident and it basically vacuumed shut. It took 3 knives to get it unstuck. And it basically morphed it and it fits less since it concaved in. But that was my mistake. I honestly love this product

This looks just like the ones they use to serve tortillas at Mexican restaurants, and they are dishwasher safe. Highly recommended. They hold a bunch of tortillas too, so you can really make a food size batch. I’ve even used it to hold pancakes too, to keep them warm. Perfect circle shape, though, so make sure you make fewer oval shaped ones, they may not fit!

This is a perfectly nice tortilla keeper. Unfortunately it's useless to me as the dimensions listed in the ad are external. The internal diameter is only 8", which will not fit the fajita-style tortillas I hoped to store in it. But I can't dock the keeper itself for that. It's sturdy, easy to clean, not unattractive, and inexpensive. If your tortillas are small enough, I'm sure it will do the job.

Product: Norpro Tortilla Keeper, 8.5"Rating: 4/5 stars (excellent)I recently purchased a grain mill so I could grind my own grains, corn and lentils into flour, and in parallel I've been practicing a wide assortment of flat breads from around the world ... nearly all of which benefit from being kept in something like a tortilla keeper during fabrication (read: rolling out the and cooking the dough into flatbreads), and also to reheat and keep them warm/moist during family meals.Likes:* Roomy: This item comfortably holds around ten medium (8") homemade flour tortillas, and more than a dozen commercial tortillas (which are thinner), which is more than enough for a family of 4 people.* Small Footprint: Standing this on edge (with the lid towards the wall) this item has a fairly small footprint in my pots and pans cabinet.* Dishwasher SafeMinor Nits:* I wish there were 2 more sizes available - a larger version (10.5") for large burrito sized flour tortillas, and a smaller one (6") for soft taco sized corn tortillas.* I wish the lid had a tiny vent hole, to prevent a vaccum from forming as tortillas cool. I drilled a 1/16" hole in the top center of mine to fix this, but it should be a default feature.BTW, I have a STORAGE TIP: For a large family that consumes a lot of tortillas on a regular basis, you can simply store your tortillas directly in the keeper at room temperature, which should be able to keep them up to a week. However, because my household is small (2 people), and we use bread fairly slowly, I store my tortillas differently (this is the tip I'm sharing): I stack my fully cooled tortillas atop a folded sheet of paper towel (which serves as a moisture sink), and slide the stack into a ziplock freezer bag, which I press gently to remove most of the air, seal, and then store in the cheese drawer of my fridge. Because homemade flour tortillas usually contain semi-solid fats (like lard or shortening) they become stiff when cold, but very pliable when re-warmed (which re-melts the fats within). Stored in freezer-grade plastic bags in the fridge, flour tortillas will keep well for 2 weeks or more, and corn tortillas for double or triple that. A second tip: if your flour tortillas get old, don't throw them out ... you can chiffonade them into thin 'bread noodes' and toss them into hot soup, or slice them again cross wise into a micro-dice, and use them as a base for serving stews, curries, beans or lentils.Recommended, especially if you regularly make your own flatbreads from scratch.EDIT: Photos - Paratha stuffed with minted peas, homemade flour tortillas, dough balls for thepla and flour tortillas, black pepper papad ready for drying, batch of flour tortilla balls flavored with homemade red bell pepper powder. All of these, after cooking, spent some time cooling (or being stored) in the tortilla warmer.

I have recently mastered the art of making homemade tortillas and this keeper keeps them warm and soft while getting dinner ready. I've also used it to reheat my tortillas the next day and they came out perfect, warm and soft after just 30 seconds in the microwave. It is easy to clean - I just popped in the dishwasher which worked out great. It is plastic, which might not work for purists who want ceramic, but I found that it worked for me and my homemade tortillas.

Great product! keeps tortillas warm for longer time. The fact that you can simply put it in the microwave to warm up the tortillas for later is great. They warm up real nice and stays soft. I use it to warm up Indian Naan and home made rotis/chapatis too. I read the reviews before purchasing, so I keep the lid a little open while warming up and it does the job. The only thing is the look. The product comes in a light brown mixed with off white color all round which gives it a used look. I'm sure that's not the case, as the picture clearly shows how it looks. I have no complain on that. If they can make it in darker brown or another color it may have a newer look.
