We had our pool deck resurfaced, only to find that it was still a bit slippery. I ordered this and added, not even 1/2 to a gal of deck paint and,,,man, did it make a difference!!!! The only thing you must be aware of, is that it did make the original deck paint, lighter in color. Since we did a section with it, we will end up having to redo our entire deck, so it matches,,,,bummer. When covering a large space with this,,mix 5 gal at a time and add about 3 containers of additive and mix well to ensure consistent color and do the same, if you have more space to cover. It does make your paint really thick and I ended up having to pour it out of the bucket and then spread it with my roller. Bit of a pain but better than having kids fall and hit their head, while swimming

After sponging my front porch with a brick pattern i used a concrete water based sealer which unfortunately make it really slippery and became a fall hazard so i decided to give this additive a try. We mixed it with the sealer and then while still wet we sprinkled on top and let dry. After it was dry we swept up the grit that was not absorbed and put it back into the container and now our porch has much better grip.

It’s a really good product , keep it stirred as u paint bc it will all go to the bottom pretty fast, the more coats u put on the better and thicker the grit looks

I used this stuff today in fact, I painted the nonskid surfaces on my sailboat, and it came out great. The only issue I found was that you have to keep mixing now and then, I rolled the paint on the boat and kept a stick with me.

Bought this to fix our slippery stair treads. It worked well. Get a little roller if you don't have one, the job is much neater than if you try to use a brush or sprinkle it on wet paint. If you have a small job like I did then make your own mechanic's hand cleaner with some of the leftover fine sand.Grate some soap, Fels Naptha is best, a quarter cup if you must measure ingredients.Mix with water, a cup or so.Heat in a little saucepan, low heat, just slowly melt the soap. Let it cool. Now mix in some of your leftover sand. (Ok, a couple of tablespoons...but please learn to eyeball ingredients like our great-grandparents did!.)Pour it into repurposed plastic container. Please don't buy a new one. Use it just like Go-Jo, dip your fingers in the soap and rub your hands. Then wipe them with a rag (or rinse them off if you're going into town).

We recently remodeled the staircase in our home. We new we needed something that would make the stairs less slippery after painting, so we ordered this SlipDoctors Extra Grip Non-Skid Paint Additive! The additive blending in to whatever paint color you're using, so you don't have to worry about it showing through or being too obvious. You definitely need to use sparingly. I put way too much in to our paint initially and when I applied it to the stair tread, you could see a ton of the grit in the applied paint. This was easy to fix, I just had to wait for the paint to dry and then sand it down. This could have easily been avoided if I would have put a tiny amount of the additive in to the paint and then gone from there. You will definitely be able to know If you've used too much pretty quickly after you start painting your surface, but like I said, it's easy to fix. After we installed our stairs, I was even happier with this non-slip paint additive because you really can't see it and you don't feel much beneath your feet! We had family over recently and not a single person slipped or had any trouble with the stairs.Overall, really happy with this additive, just be sure to use it sparingly!

Just go to the beach and grab some sand. Same thing.I thought it would have some sort of liquid or that it would have a different consistency by adding water/paint but it’s seriously just loose sand.
