I had this can for several weeks in my garage unused as I had replaced my car battery and no longer needed to remove corrosion. However during the power outage in Texas last week I pulled out my four LED lanterns that I thought were ready to go, and the AA batteries had mistakenly been left in them for a few years. THEY HAD LEAKED... I was about to throw the lanterns in the trash, but then tried this remarkable spray.. It cleaned up and revived all four lanterns. I sprayed it on, let it sit for 30 seconds, then sprayed it with a short burst of water from my kitchen sink hand wand. I figured I didn't have anything to lose as I was going to toss the lanterns. I was so impressed that I salvaged the entire situation with this application.

Wow a great product, does exactly what it says easy to do, had a big pile of acid corrosion buildup, sprayed this product on it let it sit 3 minutes when I came back out it was all gone, great product and so easy to use

this spray it fantastic in easily cleaning the lead acid battery terminals in my 48 volt club car. I use it once a season and rinse off and let dry and coat with their red corrosion preventative spray. I also made some polyester towels soaked in baking soda and let dry and cut to fit each strip over the terminals in case some acid bubbles out of the caps when charging.

This stuff does break down the light surface stuff on the terminals, and makes it easy to clean up / rinse off with water. However, if you have a decent amount of the blue stuff built up on the battery terminals, this will not penetrate it all. You will need to loosen up the stuff and reapply several times, especially if the stuff is caked in between the screw and terminal clamp ends. So you end up using a lot. Seems once I loosen up the stuff, though, it works pretty good. Just don't expect all clean with a few zaps of the stuff.

My 2008 RAV4 had been feeling a little off, like it didn’t have as much power as it used to - but it didn’t dawn on me to check the battery and conductors until my car wouldn’t start one day. I looked at a few brands and ended up getting this product on sale, but I purchased it based on its reputation because I just wanted something that would actually work - rather than the DIY methods I’ve seen online. When I took off the battery cover panel to actually remove everything with this spray, I couldn’t believe the amount of green acid corrosion that has formed on both sides of the battery conductors & cables. I turned my head away and sprayed a liberal amount all over and instantly it began eating up that vile stuff and fizzing off. I waited five minutes and filled an empty bottle with tap water and flushed the remaining gunk and it looked awesome! For good measure I repeated this one more time and focused more on the cables and any areas that I may have missed, since it was so thick at the beginning. After the second rinse, they are now sparkling clean and it looks fantastic - keep in mind this is on a 12 year old spare vehicle that has never had this necessary treatment done before. Highly recommend. Don’t make your own concoction - use this stuff, it really works great.

I used it on a three and a half year old yellow top Omni batteries that was leaking sulfuric acid. It was growing acid mushrooms profusely. This stuff cleaned it and neutralized the acid immediately. I followed the directions and sprayed it on and let it sit for several minutes before I wiped it off. Works wonderfully.

This spray did not impress me. Here are the reasons why:1. Too messy. It got all over the place and left a bad residue on other parts under the hood.2. Cleanliness? It didn't really clean as well as it claimed. I mean, it got some of the battery acid out, but it made more of a mess so I can more cleaning to do.The one thing I would say is that if I'm in a jam and am lazy, I'll probably grab this can and use it to clean the mess rather than doing more of the hands on work to get the battery acid off of a battery. So it's a give and take.

I'm a professional automotive tech for 29 years. This has been the best product I've used for corrosion. It's cost effective and it flat out just works.I've tried all the other brands from permatex to BG and I always come back to this.The trick is to hit the terminals first and let it soak. I then dump some tap water to rinse it off and hit it again. Then I get a wire brush and work the mix and clean the terminals. Rinse it again and either hit it with compressed air and let dry throughout.I always follow up with the NoCo red protector spray. I've had cars come back a year later and it still looks clean and line I just serviced the terminals.Food for thought, if your having corrosion problems, it's because your battery is leaking. It's usually a good idea to think about replacement sooner than later.
