Bought to use with my boat trailer when backing up - I unplug the light cord when backing the trailer into the water and this stops the surge brakes from triggering. The magnet is strong and holds in place well. Bright orange colour reminds me to take it out when driving down the road so the brakes work.

Fit great in surge brake slot, the magnet is powerful and won’t slide around scratching the paint on the tongue of your trailer. Would definitely recommend for anyone with surge brake trailers

This is a great idea if you need to disable your braking system on your trailer when you are backing up a hill. Easy to install, brightly colored so that you can't ignore it, sturdy, etc. Nothing but good things to say about it, BUT, and there is always a but it seems. The first set I bought (2 pack so I could have one in each vehicle), the magnet fell out and got lost, on the FIRST use. Sent them back and ordered a replacement. So far, the replacement has worked well. I am disappointed in the magnet attach but other than that, this works like a charm.
