Bought these because of the price when my 11500 lb fifth wheel trailer broke a shoe and brakes began to fail. Figured that while I had it apart, I should replace the bearings and hubs too.The good: perfect fit, relatively easy install, price was half of Dexter. The bad: Hub and bearings weigh 9 lbs less than 20 year old Dexter OEM's! That's a lot of missing cast iron so I am guessing that they will not last nearing as long. OEM's were still in good shape but with the greasy mess that they were and the cleanup time needed to use them again, the new sets were decided on. The stopping power of these brakes, (as it stands right now after the first test run of 5 miles) is they don't work as good as the OEM Dexter when they were new. They ARE much better than the zero brakes that I did have recently. I am reading that I need to "seat" the brakes by driving and using the trailer brake system to stop the vehicle and burnish the brake shoes to the drum. This I have not done yet so I will add a star if the system works better after. These will NOT lock up when gain is full and power is 100% but neither did the original brakes when new. 11500 lbs is a lot of weight to stop. If these last the 18000 miles they are claiming and brake a little better after seating, I would buy again.

this was a complete kit, took me a little bit to check bearing numbers. they must updated one bearing and race to a little wider ones from my old ones but ever thing fit on the axles and old rims

After paying $850.00 in a trailer repair shop for a brake change on my dump trailer ,the brakes only lasted a year,after watching so many videos on YouTube I decided to give it a shot and found the libra brakes at a great price they were very easy to install all parts look good and everything fitted perfectly fine in my 6000lb axle

Everything bolted and installed correctly except for the seal. Most may not verify a seals fit prior to installing into the drum housing. I was fortunate to check this out first, and sure enough, they’re too large ( about an 1/4” overall). Contacted the MFG’er directly and they claimed no knowledge of this discrepancy. Had to use my old seals.

Not the easiest project but worked perfect on my weekend warrior toy hauler. I love that everything is new now. Much better than just replacing the brake shoes.
