This hide came pre built and is sturdy for my piggies, they constantly fight over who gets to sleep in it! They have chewed on it but no sharp wood was anywhere. It was a bit smaller than expected but still perfect. They can easily jump through the windows and play around, would recommend!

The size of this was great for the price, it was a lot bigger than I was expecting! There was no assembly required, it has held up wonderfully, and is very well built.

I used this product for my chinchilla and I put it in her cage. I've read while doing research about chinchillas that it is important for them to have a nesting box in their cage, as they are prey animals and get easily spooked. No matter how comfortable they are with you, so they need a place to hide when they get scared. Also, it's a good place for them to sleep during the day, considering that they are crepuscular animals and aren't their most active during the day. My chinchilla sleeps in her nesting box most of the day, while periodically coming out to eat, drink, use her wheel, etc. She likes to run around her nesting box (I always leave space between the nesting box and the wall of her cage so that she can move around the box), go through the door and windows, and hide on top of it, so that she is between the top of the nesting box and the second level of her cage. It is also made out of pine wood, which is safe for chinchillas to chew on. Chinchillas chew on pretty much everything, so that is important to me. I also like the size. She has more than enough room to lay in it. Additionally, I like the windows. Some nesting boxes don't have windows, they just have the door. I prefer a box with a door and windows so that my chinchilla can have more air flow, so that she doesn't overheat, so that she can peek out of the windows, and so that I can see her when she is in her box. Finally, I appreciate that it is constructed with glue and not hardware (like nails, screws, etc) that could be harmful to her if she could access them. The only thing that I would change is that I wish it was less expensive.TL;DRI recommend this item. I use this nesting box for my chinchilla. Here are some reasons why:- It's a good size- It has windows (which is a positive for air flow/no overheating, for me to see her, for her to look through)- It is chew-safe (it's made of pine wood, as shown in the description)- Good place for her to hide and sleep- Constructed with glue so that there's no hardware that would be unsafe for her

My guinea pig loves this little hut. well it's NOT little - it's the perfect size. he can go in and turn around and still have room. I like that the wood is light weight but still sturdy. I recommend this product.

This house/hideout is the perfect size for my 6 year old guinea pig. I highly appreciate that it was already put together as well. Very pleased, so is she 😊

Such great quality! It arrived put together. Looks great and my guinea pigs love that it has multiple doors they can use. I love that I can see inside easily. I would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Since I just bought a second one I figured it was time to review this awesome hut! With 3 pigs they are constantly trying to be the lucky pig who gets to sleep in this hut so I have to add more to their home. It is not big enough for my plumper pigs to fit together, but 1200g Millie can easily stretch out and get through the windows on the sides. It’s a squeeze for her, but my 1100g pigs can slip through the windows with no problems which is great when the big pig wants to kick them out of “her spot”. The top is a perfect fit for a GuineaDad pee pad so they love getting on top as well. It’s chewable, but not easy to destroy since it’s so sturdy. Also hard to flip over, something my littlest pig is fond of doing. This is why I just bought another one and depending on if I can fit it, I may buy a third!!
