I should have listened to others who reviewed this item. To date the light has come off the roof of my car twice while driving on the interstate. Once at 70mph, the other at 65mph. The manufacturer claims this has strong magnets to hold the light in place, I'd like to know where they are, they definitely are NOT in the base of this light. I would have sent the light back, but I had already gotten rid of the box. So if you need a light to stay on at interstate speeds, this is NOT the light for you. If you're only going 50 - 55 mph, it should work.On the good side, the cord length is okay, and I do like the different light patterns. the lights are also bright. for these reasons I give it a 1 star. otherwise I would have given it a 0 rating.. When it came off the roof, it swung around and put dents in the side of my car...

This replaced an old rotary light, this new light is much brighter, more flash options and way easier to install.

Is very bright. Many many flash patterns to choose, but only one button for that function means scrolling through all the different patterns to get to the one you want. I can't see the light on my roof from the cab (the on/off switch and pattern selector switch are mounted on the plug to the power port in the cab) so I have to press the selector button, go outside to look at the pattern, go in the cab to press the button, go out to look at the pattern....

Was surprised how well made and bright it is considering the price. I wish they would make a hardwired version of this light instead of the cigarette lighter plug with the switches built into it.

Fits into the socket well, wire is long enough and very bright.Unfortunately due to the shape and gap under the light - the wind causes it to unstick from the car and lift off at speeds of >60mph.I was driving on the motorway with this on my car for the first time when the light detached, flew off behind me onto the motorway and snapped the wire. Fortunately no one was injured.Not safe to use in speeds of 60-70 mph. Would probably be useable at under 50mph.
