The AB+ spectrum closely emulates the mix of ATI Aquablue Special and ATI Blue Plus, offering ideal wavelengths and intensity for coral growth and vibrant color, making it a reliable choice for keeping live corals. For your reef tank, we recommend the following which closely mimics the AB+ spectrum.
Recommended Photoperiods
Typically, aquariums need 8-12 hours of light daily. We recommend the 1-8-1 ratio: 1 hour of ramp-up, followed by 8 hours of steady light, and 1 hour of ramp-down, totaling a 10-hour lighting schedule.

Don’t be scared off by the whole “Black Box” terminology. Nicrew nailed it with these! I previously had the Gen 1’s and the Gen 2’s are a great upgrade. The spectrum is ideal right out of the box and can be further adjusted with the remote. The picture had some spill over, but was later adjusted to 10” as recommended by Nicrew and that problem faded. They provide a slight shimmer and more par values are great and able to adjust for my mixed reef (LPS/SPS). Would highly recommend to anyone and will continue to buy. Plus, their customer service is great!

These controller are junk. First time I ordered they sent me used ones. Had one that worked ok but fell water and I had to buy new one. First one dint work. I returned it and the second dint work either.DO NOT BUY

Good controller of the lights. Wish it better explained the process of connecting the gen 1 lights and also coming with the wire necessary to use with gen 1 lights. I like the holder of the controller it's well made. It's definitely more user friendly than version 1.
