Strong pencils, the lead is 2.5mm thick versus the mechanical 0.5mm thick. I'm forever breaking the leads on the 0.5 as I press hard when "writing" so this works for me.Easy to mark all over boards that you later sand "off". Easy.

We do a lot of wood working projects. We are always needing a pencil to mark with. These are great. The refills are thick and don’t snap off even when we drop these. They have held up well and produce a thick enough line (but not too thick) to support our projects and can easily be wiped off when we need to. They also will survive being washed in a washing machine - not recommended but pleasantly surprised that the refill didn’t come out in the wash and was able to be used without any damage.

Got as a gift for Christmas for my stepdad. He loved it. I dont know much about it tbh. But it looks cool.He said they write good, are sharp enough, comfortable to use, a good size, and the lead is good quality.

I liked this product so much that I bought it again as a gift for a carpenter friend. As a homeowner/DIYer I really appreciated the value and how nice and solid it seems. The built in sharper is a bonus. No more looking for a sharpener or a utility knife to sharpen the leads. My carpenter friend loved his so much that he bought multiple sets.A very good purchase for me.

Thicker and darker pencil lead making marks on the wood clear to see which is very important. The pencil casings seem to be rugged and I'm very happy with this product

These were perfect for my husband who is doing lots of woodwork. They are good quality and he uses them all the time, easy to sharpen, they look amazingEasy to store and in case and they come with 26 refills for carpenters marking wood. Also comes with a sharpener.and is easy to use. Nice and sharp and good quality pencils, deep hole marker. Heavy duty great value for money. Nice and string and easy to use . He might wish I hadn't bought them as now he is having to make me lots of things .. I'm loving it. Garden tubs, rabbit hutches. Great for any carpenter or architect. DIY. Black and Red. Highly recommended.

Was skeptical that this would be so much better than my regular work pencils because I mean come on.... its a pencil..... not a very complicated thing right? But to my suppose these are awesome love the sharpeners the lead is super thick its well built comes with alpt of lead multiple colors 3 pencils I mean the value is incredible its truly worth it and a great couple dollar investment in yourself to make your work days that much better!

If you use carpenter pencils often, I highly recommend this product. The set comes with 2 pencils (one black and one red) filled with lead, plus two dozen refill leads (12 black, 6 red and 6 yellow). It works just like a click-top mechanical pencil, and it’s super-easy to retract the lead, so you can keep it clipped in your shirt pocket without getting lead all over your clothes.The built-in sharpener is a game-changer, although it took me a few minutes to realize that the sharpeners are recessed quite far into the pencil caps; you need to expose a good amount of lead to get it to reach the sharpener (unless you unscrew the sharpener from the cap and use it separately, but that seems like an unnecessary waste of time). Sharpening was easy once I figured it out, and it beats the heck out of shaving down traditional carpenter pencils with a knife or carrying (and risk losing) a specialized sharpener.The lead feels quite sturdy. It’s not a strong as a traditional carpenter pencil, but it holds up very well for all but the most heavy-duty applications.The kit also comes with a good-quality plastic carrying case, which is a nice bonus. The pencils and refills have a tidy place to live when they’re not in use, and the see-through case means you won’t confuse the pencils with drill bits or anything else in similar-sized cases.5 stars.
