As usual Nicky is highly creative & having fun with her subject. These are great flowers to use in lots of ways & the bag is with the price of the book! Some of the yarns are no longer available but there are plenty of others that will work beautifully.

Seems that this book took quite a long time to arrive. When it did, it was in good shape as described. I was able to immediately create some flowers from the patterns.

I bought this book because of the cover purse. i love anything Kicky Epstein does. She had amazing skulls and the instructions are easy to follow if you are a knitter.I am working on making the flowers for a felted purse.

This is a fun book with loads of patterns for knitted flowers. Like her other books the patterns in this book are perfect for embellishing other knitted items or garments.

This is a good quality book, the pictures are beautifully presented and the knitting instructions are clearly set out. There are clear explanations of knitting terms UK knitters may not be familiar with at the end of the book. The yarns used may be a bit difficult to source in the UK but I have tried to find suitable alternatives that knit to the same guage and have been pleased with the resulting flowers. The book includes a wide range of flowers and the ones I have knitted so far have looked very effective. This is going to be a very useful book and would be great for anyone who likes experimenting with their knitting!

Wondeful illustrations and instructions and an excellent book for knitting flowers - a great addition to my library. I highly recommend this for both novice and beyond skill levels.

I bought the hardcover version of this book years ago and I really love the patterns in it but the design of the book is very frustrating. Ms. Epstein is very brief with her words, so do yourself a favor and write things out, especially if you are doing that felted rose bag. I don't understand why all the photographs have such shallow depths of fields. I could understand having a hard time getting objects into focus when they're the size of battleships, but these knitted flowers fit in the palm of your hand so there's no excuse for over half of the finished objects to be blurry. I'm guessing the photographer thinks that it's "artistic" to take blurry photos. Unfortunately this is a trend I have seen a lot in knitting and crochet patterns over the last ten years. It's a good thing we have Ravelry to check out other people's FOs with in-focus photos! Ms. Epstein uses the same photographer for her Crocheted Flowers book and thanks her in the acknowledgements section by saying the photos "captured the essence and detail of the pieces." Essence yes, detail no.The patterns in this book are great though, and she has patterns for all different types of flowers, not just roses. These patterns are great for using up odds and ends of yarn left over from other projects.
