These are great - I purchased them to darken my living room and prevent glare on the TV. I'm very pleased with the weight and quality and the fact they include rings that work with grommets.

These liners layer perfectly with my pretty sheer curtains! If you’re looking for an easy way to broaden your options for curtains while still blocking light, you found it. While these are more room darkening than they are “blackout”, they’re very thick and still block a ton of light. I live in a very hot and sunny climate so other blackout curtains with black lining hold too much heat, but these do an excellent job of providing some insulation and keeping out some of the heat. Great value & super easy to hang up!

Shift worker. Posted pictures in the reviews show a blackout scenario. This is inaccurate. They are easy to install with not having to add a rod or sew them to my curtains, which is what caught my attention, and they hang nicely. However, even though they do darken the room some, they do not blackout as described. I have blackout liners in another room that are great but had to sew them to the curtains. This avenue was more economical than room darkening shades because they would have to be custom made.

Not these, but the heavy, room-darkening panels I have in my front room to block late afternoon FL sun from blaring in on the room where my thermostat control is, keeping that room MUCH warmer than the others. Those well-intentioned panels have been up for about 3 years. Because, Dude, they really tie the whole room together, do they not?! [IYKYK] Plus they have to match the others in that room that aren't facing west, the less abused ones. $o, why replace the 8 panels in the room just $o they all match and keep my OCD in check, when I can try these liners first? It was a no brainer!Like another reviewer mentioned, the hooks are a bit challenging if you have hand weakness. I had to power through a couple, but my 55-yo self was determined to hang these at midnight before the next day's record temps approached. For my 4 curtain panels, I used two thermal liners, with the liner hooks from one thermal panel placed strategically inside the folds of the two decorative panels so only the pretty grommets would show. (our secret!) The measurements worked out perfectly; I can still pull each half aside with no issues, should FL ever cool off enough to warrant such a crazy stunt. The next day, my family ALL commented on the very obvious temperature difference these made in that room. Hardly any light comes through - only peeking out the top + sides. They made such a noticeable impact, I ordered more the next day for the other rooms subject to the afternoon Hades effect. I can only imagine how much money we've wasted over the years with the A/C running constantly trying to keep up with that room. Now I can't wait for my other rooms to chill out.Don't be like Florida. Buy the panels.

I liked the idea of this being not totally "black out" while still muffling sound from outside... but it was appartently too good to be true.I mainly purchased these because I live across the street from a restaurant that had recently turned on an extremely loud fan. I wanted some way to muffle that without loosing all access to sunlight in my home. Thank goodness, they appear to have repaired or replaced the fan, so it isn't as bothersome anymore... But I figured I would keep the curtains anyway.I experimented by installing them into my home office where I record audio. Standing next to the closest window to the business accross the street, I could still clarly hear even their new, quietier fan through the curtains. My mic usually doesn't pick up as much background noise as what I can hear with my ears, so I tried seeing if the curtains could at least get rid of sounds from the road outside while recording. Even on the recording, I could still clearly hear traffic and birds outside.Ultimately, I decided to return this and instead just find something "ugly" and truly sound reducing to put up just when I really need it to be quiet. This middle-of-the-road, supposed to be semi-muffling semi-nice-looking curtain just isn't enough to get the job done for me.

Nice liner. Good quality. Good price. A bit light weight which is what I wanted. Not sure why they reference these as white when they are light grey. I ordered because they said they were white and I need white. UPDATE: I ordered another brand of liner which was actually white, but when I hung it up behind my white linen semi sheer curtains, it appears to be the same grey color as these. (go figure) SO, I am keeping these. Being light weight they seem to slide easier on my curtain rod. The black out quality does exactly what it's supposed to do. I am pleased.

Took a chance to use these on my sliding patio doors with a sheer curtain. These are the perfect width and height. Definitely gave the sun and light protection needed. Perfect weight not to weigh down curtain rod.

I like the hanging system, especially when placing under decorative curtains. Very good blackout ability, and also adds warmth and insulation to the room.

I have semi sheer linen weave curtains that I love, except you can see through them at night when the lights are on in the room. I didn't want to get rid of my curtains and found these to use behind them. These panels are well made, sturdy fabric, strong metal rings to hold in place, soft and fit behind my grommet top curtains perfectly. They line up with the top seam of my existing curtains and fall to a perfect length. I couldn't be happier and I am a very picky person. These do everything I'd hoped and look perfect. I can still enjoy my original curtains but now get the privacy and block out the light from my neighbor's very big & bright night light! They also made a difference in how quickly my room cooled down even though I have double pane windows. This is an actual review, I highly recommend

Nice material, thick, look good. Not super darkening, but ok for north facing bedroom.
