I've been looking for a multi-tool without a blade so I can carry it on the plane with me. I only need a simple tool with pliers and driver but the scissors are a nice bonus. I've had it hand inspected by TSA at an airport and was allowed through. I've also carried it through several airports. We all know each TSA screening point and agent is different so good luck. I like the screwdrivers, they actually work and it's got a SIM card tool. It's lightweight but sturdy and gets the job done.

I use this daily for my career as a mechanic. I keep it in my pocket at all times cause you never know when you may need a Phillips screw or a flat head or a tiny pair of pliers. Not much bigger than a bic lighter.

Carry at your own risk. At EWR where the Nextool was just confiscated. Agent identified the scissors and screwdriver as why it was flagged. YMMV. $20 wasted.

This little multitool features robust build quality and a limited but useful set of tools. The tool I use most is the little scissors (with spring action). The pliers and flat blade screwdriver can be handy too. The butt of the multitool could probably be used to break a car window in an emergency. There is no blade on this model, so you can take it on a plane. It comes with a little key ring loop but I find it too heavy for that use.

BLUF: A nice resource at a very reasonable price point. However, durability is unknown since I just got this, and my use case is relatively light.Pros:(1) No knife, no awl, no saw means that this can be carried in places where a traditional multi-tool would not be accepted either by formal rule or by custom.(2) The flat head and Phillips are surprisingly sturdy. I used them to adjust an interior door by tweaking the hinges without difficulty - a task that my similarly sized Victorinox Office Manager struggles with. The shape of the flathead also works ok’ish as a two-dimensional Phillips.(3) Scissors can cut through zip ties and (admittedly cheap) string trimmer easily. To be honest, many things that folks use a knife for can also be done with a good pair of scissors. Without freaking out the Karen in the cubicle next to yours in the office(4) Price point means that this can be a “disposable” tool that can be replaced after a couple of years if – for example – the scissors spring breaks.Cons:(1) The Nextool web page says there is a one-year warranty. It would be nice if that was a little longer and/or there was more obvious guidance on how to access that warranty. Though, that would likely increase the price.(2) I’m not sure what I can use the sim card tool for at this time. It has been a while since I’ve gone on international travel, but is changing out sim cards in one’s personal phone still a thing that happens on overseas trips? Some of my electronics have tiny reset buttons that this could be used on, but do I need that tool in my pocket every day?(3) Scissors are extremely impressive, but the shape and size make them a bit uncomfortable to use as the handle digs into the pad of my thumb.(4) There is some play in the handles in general and, noticeably, when using the Phillips.I’ve included some pictures to compare tools/sizes to a Victorinox Super Tinkerer and Office Manager.Recommendation for manufacturer: I think there is a small but very real market for a bladeless multi-tool. I suspect Roxon with their Flex Tool may take the lead in this area (since one can build a bladeless tool on that architecture). But for what it is worth, I would recommend something bigger than this tool, but around 90 mm or so. Include a flat head, Phillips, (or a bit driver), larger scissors, and a bottle opener. I don’t think pliers/wire cutters are needed for this type of tool, but I may be wrong. Consider adding something with a removable blade like a scalpel holder or utility knife or hobby knife. This would be great for nurses, teachers, office workers, or anyone that likes having a functional multi-tool but doesn’t want to make others feel uncomfortable in a non-knife tolerant environment. Conclusion: I like this product and assuming I can get a couple of years of use out of it, would buy it again.

A really handy multi tool that I brought with me on a trip abroad. Since it doesn't have a knife, you can safely bring it with you on a plane. The scissors and the screw drivers were very handy for fixing minor things during my trip.I did end up pinching my skin when closing the tool fully, so be careful with your fingers.

A nice product and useful for a range of purposes. Quality build. I have taken three tips with this in my carry on bag. Each time TSA spotted it and pulled me aside for a search. After the product was examined and my explanation that no knife was present they returned it. However, I would suggest you be prepared for this if in a hurry. One of the TSA personnel recommended that going forward I should remove it from the carry on, place it individualy in the tray, and pull out all of the tools so that the x-ray tech can better determine it's not a knife.

I was looking for a TSA approved multitool which would pass through security. I found and purchased this one.It is very compact and has most of the tools I need. It does not include a knife blade so I should be able to carry it through security. One reminder is to read the "tip" regarding the scissors. If folded incorrectly, it is nearly impossible to open by hand!

I like the fact that I can theoretically take this to airport and get through security. Size wise it’s smaller than a SOG Powerpint, but bigger than Victorinox Signature or Classic SD. If I’m traveling, I would put it on my keychain, but I would not do it for everyday carry. It has holes cut out on the inside to lighten the weight, but I think it’s still slightly heavy for EDC on the keychain. I carry it in my pocket organizer. Build quality is rock solid. Everything clicks into place. The pliers are spring loaded so it is easier to use. The scissors are very sharp and can cut paracord. I would say it’s not as sharp as Victorinox scissors, but still very sharp and functions well. When you “click” it shut, there’s nothing loose and the pliers will not accidentally open. I would say utility wise, if you are looking for something without a blade and on the smaller side, this would fit the bill. The sim card tool would be another plus for travels.

I was looking good for a compact multitool with pliers that would be small enough time carry in my pocket but usefull enough to handle everyday chores. This fits the bill perfectly. I usually carry a pocket knife anyway so I didn't need a blade. This tool has everything else - sturdy pliers with wire cutters, screwdrivers, a bottle opener and very nice scissors. So small and light that you don't notice it in your pocket. Despite its small size, it's sturdy enough for most everyday tasks. It's also easier to use than I expected - good springs in the pliers and scissors and a comfortable grip.
